Orbit vs at8pm

Every year, screens take a little more of your attention than the year before. Orbit is built to quietly interrupt that pattern, not by shaming you, but by making the apps you open out of habit a little harder to reach. Pick the apps you want off-limits, choose the hours, and Orbit blocks them at the system level using Apple's Screen Time technology. Try to open a blocked app during that window, and you'll have to hold your finger down first, long enough to make you pause and choose again. WHAT'S INSIDE Three ready-made schedules to start from: - No scroll till evening, for keeping mornings and afternoons social-free - Deep work mornings, for weekday focus blocks - Sleep, for winding down without the scroll Or build your own: pick any apps, any days, any hours. A hold that makes you think twice Unlocking isn't instant. Hold to unlock for 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 3 minutes, so opening a blocked app is always a choice, never a reflex. Breaks when you need them Take a short break, 3 to 15 minutes, when you genuinely need an app mid-schedule. Blocking resumes automatically when it ends. No shame, no streaks Orbit doesn't track your screen time or make you feel bad about it. There are no streaks to lose, no stats to obsess over. Just a little friction, right when you need it. Everything stays on your phone. An account is optional and never required to use Orbit or restore a purchase. Orbit won't fix your relationship with your phone by itself. It just makes the apps that make hours disappear a little slower to reach, so you have a moment to choose something else instead. at8pm is your honest journal. Every entry you write today locks at a time you choose — 8pm by default. Once it locks, that's it: no editing, no rewriting history, no quietly polishing what you actually felt in the moment. Just an honest record of your day, exactly as you wrote it. WRITE HOWEVER FITS THE MOMENT Type it out with rich text: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough. Or just talk — record a voice note right inside an entry and see it as a waveform, or capture a Squope, a quick square video note. No typing required. Add a photo or a location if the moment needs it. A HABIT THAT STICKS Keep your streak going day by day. A quick glance at your lock ring shows how much time is left before today closes — and a tap shows your current streak alongside it. MADE TO BE SHARED, SOMETIMES Turn any entry into a beautifully designed card — pick from several styles — and share it straight to Instagram Stories or anywhere else. Your private thoughts stay private until you decide otherwise. GENUINELY PRIVATE Entries sync across your devices with your own private iCloud account — never a third-party server. Lock the whole app behind Face ID for an extra layer of privacy. AT8PM PRO at8pm is free to download and use for up to 2 entries per day. An active at8pm Pro subscription unlocks unlimited entries and all features mentioned. at8pm Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased in the app. If you do not cancel before the free trial (if applicable) ends, the subscription auto-renews at the price of your selected plan. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. AT8PM UNLOCK CREDITS Locked entries can optionally be made editable again for 24 hours by spending an "unlock credit," or purchasing unlock credits via the app. This is entirely optional and not required to use the core app. Terms: https://www.at8pm.today/terms Privacy Policy: https://www.at8pm.today/privacy
