About

Somewhere FM

Somewhere FM is live radio from all over the world, on a globe you turn with your finger. Drag the Earth and stations fade in and out as you pass over them, like a dial crossing a continent. Rest somewhere and it settles on one voice. Turn with two fingers where a city holds several stations. Tap SOMEWHERE and you are carried to a place that is on air right now. THE HOUR, WHERE THEY ARE Every station shows the time on its own wall, the sun or the moon over it, and its weather. Somewhere FM talks a little too: witty by day, tender by night, never while you are listening hard. A PASSPORT Listen for a minute in a new country and it is stamped in your passport, in that country's own language. Stamped countries glow on the globe. Each month becomes a postcard with your radio personality on it, ready to send. TOGETHER, QUIETLY When someone else is hearing the same station, you will know: "Someone in Portugal is listening with you." Tap to send them a wave. No names, no chat, nothing to follow. FOLLOW THE HOUR, AND SLEEP Let the radio travel with the time of day on its own, or fade out as you fall asleep. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your passport and the places you keep stay on your phone. Stations are public streams from their broadcasters, credited by name and played as they are. Weather from MET Norway.
