Finding a shaded terrace at the height of summer, or a sunlit bench in spring to enjoy the first warm rays: SunMap answers this simple need that had no solution until now. Using the sun's real position and the surrounding relief (buildings, trees, mountains), SunMap computes the exact location of cast shadows in real time. Clear information, right on the map. In the city: café and restaurant terraces, public benches, children's playgrounds, street workout stations — every spot carries its sun-or-shade badge, at the time you choose. In nature: your ideal spot for camping in the shade, a picnic table in the sun, the exposure of a hillside — terrain and vegetation cast their shadows just like the city does. Key features: Sun and shade, live: buildings, trees and terrain taken into account, at any moment Plan ahead: find out what time a spot switches to shade or to sun Sun compass: sunrise, sunset and the sun's position at the time you choose Sun times everywhere: sunrise, sunset and golden hour, anywhere on the globe Countries covered by shadow computation: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom — more countries coming soon. Everywhere else, the sun compass and sunrise/sunset times remain available. How it works: SunMap combines the sun's trajectory with terrain, building and vegetation data to project shadows directly onto the map. A per-place timeline lets you see the sunny and shaded hours in advance, without waiting to be there. Whether you're picking a terrace, a bench, a playground or a camp spot, SunMap gives you information found nowhere else: a place's precise sun exposure, at any moment. Anticipate sun and shade, wherever you are. Terms of use https://sunmap.tech/en/terms
