About

Tally Steps

One number, one ring, one goal. Tally Steps shows you how far you have walked today and nothing else. No coaching. No streaks. No badges for getting out of bed. It reads the step count your iPhone and Apple Watch already record, and it draws it plainly. TODAY A single ring against your daily goal, with distance and active energy underneath. Drag the goal, or type an exact one. THE MONTH, AND THE YEAR Every day as a square, darker the further you walked. Tap any day to see it, page back through earlier months, or open the year to find one. ON YOUR WRIST A watch app, and three complications for the corner, circular and rectangular slots — so the number is on your watch face without opening anything. WIDGETS Small and medium for the Home Screen, plus Lock Screen widgets. They keep up in the background. LIGHT OR DARK Follows your phone, or pin it either way in Settings. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Nothing about your activity leaves your device — the app reads Health, stores a copy on your phone so the widgets can draw, and that is the whole of it. FREE The whole app, with nothing held back and nothing to unlock. If you would like to support it, Settings has a tip jar. It is entirely optional and changes nothing about the app. Requires access to Health for steps, walking and running distance, and active energy. Tally Steps only reads; it never writes anything back.

Finally an app that intuitively shows steps on your Apple Watch, for Free. Easily set a daily goal, view your step count and see how many steps you have left directly on your watch face, smart stack or in the app. The app runs entirely on your watch. WHEN YOU OPEN IT Front Page: You will see a big ring with step count in the middle and daily goal below it. Under the ring you can see how many steps you have left for the day. Daily Goal: Scroll once from front page to access daily goal. here you can quickly select a preset or click on the big number to dial in your exact step goal. Make sure to click "Set Goal" after selecting your desired amount. Analytics: Easily glance at the analytics of your step history. you can switch between "Day", "Week" and "Month" options. For each, you get the average daily step amount (days you did not wear your watch are left out of your averages, so a weekend off does not drag your numbers down.), and below it you have best day record. Click on the bar chart on any option, and a detailed list view is opened for you to find exact step data. Notifications: Last page, here you can turn on/off Goal Reached and Evening Nudge notifications. ON YOUR WATCH FACE Complications for every accessory slot watchOS offers, so the app should work with the face you already use: - Circular, with your step count inside a progress ring - Rectangular, with your count and how many are left, in two styles: text only, or text with a progress ring - Corner, with your count and remaining curving around the edge, also in two styles - Inline, for faces with a single line of text Every one of them turns green the moment you close your goal. IN THE SMART STACK Swipe up from your watch face and your steps are there, no complication required. Tap it to open the app. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR WATCH Just Steps. reads one thing from Apple Health: your step count. - No account, no sign up, no email address - No servers. The app contains no networking code at all and makes no internet connections - No ad analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no third party code of any kind - Nothing is ever sold, shared or sent anywhere, nothing ever leaves your watch RATINGS Ratings are how a one person app gets found. If Just Steps. helps you every day, please leave a review. It means the world to me, thank you! FREE No subscription. No adverts. No in app purchases. No paywalls.
