Know where is your French at with Voilà. Not just your activity streak. Learn French from your current level (including complete beginner) all the way to level B2. Voilà is made by a native French speaker & creator successful language learning app, including world's #1 Japanese alphabet learning app. FEATURES: Lessons, Quiz, Progression tracking. A structured French course with quizzes: grammar in the best learning order, from your first sounds at A0 (or beginner at A1), to upper intermediate B2. Each lesson is a short explanation + focused practice. The practice builds on recognizing an answer first, then on producing one. You begin with multiple choice. Then when you are ready to level up, the app starts asking you to type your answers (accents included, with a French character strip that keeps them within reach). Mastery is measured. A lesson counts as mastered when you reach the requirements, and that covers every part of the lesson. Already know some French? Take a short placement test per level and skip what you can prove. Score lower and Voilà still credits the lessons you answered correctly, so you start at your first real gap instead of page one. Vocabulary runs on its own track from A0 to B2, with themed decks and cards for both recognizing a word and producing it. Spaced repetition (FSRS-6) schedules each review for just before you would forget. Neither track ever blocks the other. The whole curriculum ships inside the app. It works offline, needs no account, shows no ads, and keeps your progress on your device. If you have ever finished a lesson and wondered whether any of it stuck, this is the app that answers the question. Download Voilà French, take the placement test, and find out exactly where your French stands. --- Learn more at: https://apptolearnfrench.com --- FAQ: 1. Can I start Voila French with no French at all? - Yes. The course begins at A0 with sounds, greetings, être, avoir, articles, numbers, and simple questions. Questions include English translations, and practice starts with multiple choice before asking for typed recall. 2. Can Voila French place me if I already know some French? - Yes. Optional 20-question level tests start at A0 and move upward one level at a time. Passing lets you skip a level you have demonstrated; a lower score can still credit individual lessons supported by correct answers, so you begin near the first remaining gap. This is in-app placement, not an official CEFR certificate. 3. Does Voila French teach both grammar and vocabulary? - Yes. The grammar path runs from A0 through B2 in ordered lessons. A separate A0-to-B2 vocabulary track uses themed decks and schedules recognition and production cards for review; vocabulary never blocks grammar progress, and grammar never blocks vocabulary study. 4. Does Voila French use spaced repetition? - Yes, for vocabulary. Voila uses the FSRS-6 scheduling model to decide when vocabulary cards are due. Grammar uses a separate mastery system based on recent answers, because learning a grammar rule and retaining a word are different jobs. 5. Does Voila make me type French answers, or is it only multiple choice? - Both. New grammar lessons begin with multiple choice to introduce the pattern, then shift to typed-first practice after eight correct answers in a row. Typed answers test recall without showing the options. 6. How does Voila decide that I have mastered a French lesson? - A grammar lesson is mastered when your 30 most recent drill answers include at least 27 correct answers, at least 15 typed answers, and every lesson subtopic. All four requirements must be true at the same time. Mastery is based on recent recall, not time spent or an attendance streak. 7. Can I use Voila French offline without an account? - Yes, absolutely. 8. Can Voila French help me prepare for French naturalisation or residency? - Yes, it teaches you the grammar and vocabulary needed.

About

Mäx

Features

Mäx teaches the parts of a language that word lists never fix: which article a noun takes, which case or preposition it wants, where the verb goes, and when one past tense beats another. Everything happens in whole sentences. You pick the missing word, and the app tells you why it was that one — not just that you got it wrong. FOUR COURSES, A1 TO C1 German — der, die, das, Dativ and Akkusativ, Perfekt and Präteritum. Spanish — ser and estar, indefinido against imperfecto, the subjunctive. French — le and la, passé composé against imparfait, the subjonctif. English — American English, following the British Council–EAQUALS Core Inventory and the Oxford 3000. Read the explanations in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or German, and choose how much translation you want: always, only after you answer, or never, for full immersion. No course is ever explained in its own language. Switch course in Settings; each one keeps its own progress. WHAT'S IN EACH COURSE • More than 1,100 nouns, each with its article, plural and topic • Around 600 verbs with their key tenses, and about 270 adjectives • 40 grammar rules from A1 to C1 (45 in French), each with a table, worked examples and its own drill • 150 read-along stories, 30 per level, highlighted as natural voices read them • 15 reading passages where any word can be tapped for its meaning • 50 listening and 50 speaking exercises; the speaking drill checks what you actually said WAYS TO PRACTISE Daily mix · Articles · Cases and prepositions · Verb forms · Grammar in a sentence · Flashcards · Hangman · Listening · Speaking · Spaced review The review queue brings a word back just before you would forget it, and drops it once it sticks. Build your own flashcard decks by topic, word type and level, or describe the deck you want to Mäx AI. Progress shows your streak, the week at a glance and six months of practice. MÄX AI Stuck on a rule? Ask Mäx AI, the built-in tutor, about the exact question you just missed. It answers only about the language you are learning. PRIVACY No account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no subscription. Every exercise works offline. Only two things use the internet. Mäx AI sends what you type, along with the two languages and your level, to our server and on to DeepSeek to write the answer. The app asks you before the first time, and saying no leaves everything else working. The natural voices also download in the background, and until they arrive the device voice reads instead. Your progress stays on your phone and is deleted with the app. The microphone is used only in the speaking drill, and only to check what you said. Declining leaves the rest of the app working normally.
