About

Neiv

Neiv is an offline car navigator for Ukraine that keeps guiding you when the GPS signal disappears or is distorted. GPS stays the primary source. When it drops out, Neiv computes the distance travelled from your car's own speed (standard OBD-II port, Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi adapter) together with the phone's gyroscope, and matches the track onto an offline road graph. Without an adapter, phone-only mode continues the position from the iPhone's own motion sensors: less accurate, but no extra hardware. This is an estimate, not a replacement for satellite positioning: the error grows the longer GPS is missing, so the app shows an uncertainty circle. Fixes the app judges unreliable are not shown as your position; detection can miss some spoofing. FREE, NO SUBSCRIPTION • Offline map and routing across Ukraine • Guidance on GPS • Warnings when the signal cannot be trusted • Phone-only mode: an approximate position without GPS and without an adapter, free during the launch period • Up to 3 route options; offline search of streets, towns and house numbers • Trip history on the phone • Demo drive: a real recorded drive you can watch with no car and no adapter REQUIRES THE "DR Protection" SUBSCRIPTION • Exactly one thing: showing your dead-reckoned position with an OBD-II adapter while GPS is missing or distorted. Everything else is free. • Free minutes on every device: up to 90 minutes of dead-reckoning guidance in the first 7 days after a one-time device check, plus 20 minutes every week from day one, plus 30 emergency minutes once per device for a real loss of signal with the adapter connected. Free minutes are not an App Store trial and do not turn into a subscription. WHAT YOU NEED • iPhone with iOS 16 or later • The offline map of your region, downloaded in the app • Phone-only mode: a phone mount and the internet when the app starts; the phone calibrates itself during 20–30 minutes of driving with GPS • Precise mode: a car with an OBD-II port and a Bluetooth LE or Wi-Fi OBD-II adapter (a list of tested ones is in the app) MAPS Region maps are downloaded on demand and work with no connectivity — jamming usually takes the mobile network down together with GPS. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. PRIVACY There are no accounts. You choose whether to send us statistics without your route, and saying no disables nothing: the navigator keeps every feature. Your routes never leave the phone unless you allow it separately. Helping build the traffic map is a separate choice, off by default. BACKGROUND USE While the app is running, including with the screen locked, it keeps using location and the adapter connection so the position is not lost. Closing the app stops it. SAFETY Dead reckoning is an assistive estimate. Keep reading the road, the signs and the markings; responsibility for driving stays with the driver. SUBSCRIPTION DR Protection is an auto-renewable subscription. What it includes: your position kept on screen by dead reckoning with an OBD-II adapter while GPS is missing or distorted. Basic navigation works without it; phone-only mode is free during the launch period. It works on all your devices signed in to the same Apple Account; Family Sharing is not supported. Price: USD 29.99 per month or USD 199.99 per year. The first month of the monthly plan is USD 14.99. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel it in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
