Stop guessing what to charge. Cake Cost Calculator - Cakey works out exactly what every cake, cupcake, and cookie batch costs you to make, and shows you the profit you are actually earning on each one. Most home bakers price by feel. They add up ingredients, double it, and hope. But ingredients are the smallest part of the story. The hours you spend baking and decorating, the boxes and boards, the electricity, the trip to the shop, the batch that did not work out. Leave those out and a cake that looks profitable can be paying you almost nothing. Cakey counts all of it. WHAT EVERY RECIPE SHOWS YOU Add your ingredients, the time you spend, and your price. Cakey instantly calculates: - Ingredient cost for the recipe and per serving - Labour cost based on your own hourly rate - Overhead for packaging, power, and the small costs that add up - Total cost and profit in money - Profit rate as a percentage - Cost and price per slice, cupcake, cookie, jar, or kilogram QUOTE A CUSTOMER IN SECONDS A customer asks what a cake for twenty people would cost. Open the recipe, tap 20, and the price is there. Cakey scales any recipe up or down instantly, so you can answer while you are still on the phone. Works with slices, pieces, jars, kilograms, or pounds, whichever way you sell. BUILD YOUR INGREDIENT LIBRARY ONCE Enter flour, butter, sugar, and cream once with the price you actually pay. Every recipe using them stays up to date. When your supplier raises the price of butter, change it in one place and every cake you make is recalculated. No spreadsheets, no rebuilding recipes from scratch. SEE YOUR WHOLE MENU AT A GLANCE Your dashboard shows your average profit rate across every recipe, and sorts them so you can see which products are earning well and which ones need a price increase. You will often find that the cake you are proudest of is the one paying you least, and the simple cookie box is quietly your best seller. SET IT UP THE WAY YOU WORK - Your own hourly rate, so your time is priced properly - Your own overhead percentage - Your own safe zone for what counts as a healthy profit - Your own categories, built from scratch - Over 30 currencies WHO IT IS FOR Cakey is built for home bakers, cottage food sellers, cake decorators, and small bakery owners. If you sell birthday cakes, wedding cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, macarons, cake pops, dessert jars, or anything else you make in your own kitchen, this is for you. It works whether you are pricing your very first order or reviewing a menu you have been selling for years. WHY BAKERS UNDERCHARGE The most common mistake is not counting your own time. A three tier cake with fifteen dollars of ingredients that sells for two hundred looks like an incredible margin, until you remember it took you eleven hours. Cakey makes that visible before you quote, not after you deliver. The second most common mistake is forgetting the small costs. Boxes, boards, ribbons, liners, the gas for delivery, the electricity for a four hour bake. Individually they are nothing. Together they can be a fifth of your cost. SIMPLE TO USE No training, no setup weekend, no accounting knowledge. Add a recipe in a few minutes and see your numbers straight away. Works on iPhone and iPad. Price your baking properly. Know what every order really earns you. From the makers of Calcy, the food cost calculator for restaurants. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
