TapExpense

TapExpense is the expense tracker built for people who just want to log a purchase and get on with their day โ€” no account, no sign-up, no ads, no network required. Every expense stays on your device, in a real local database, from the very first tap. LOG AN EXPENSE IN 5 SECONDS Tap the + button and the amount field is already focused with the keypad up. Type an amount, pick a category and payment method from single-tap chips, save โ€” done. Titles are optional; untitled expenses show their category. As you type, TapExpense suggests titles learned from your own history, and accepting one prefills the amount, category and payment method in a single tap โ€” every field stays editable if it guessed wrong. That runs entirely on-device: no AI service, no cloud model, no network call. It is a deterministic ranking of your own history by recency, frequency and time of day โ€” fast, predictable and private. YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE โ€ข Fully functional offline โ€” always, everywhere, no exceptions โ€ข No account, no sign-up, no email required โ€ข No ad SDKs, no trackers, no analytics of any kind โ€ข Optional Face ID / Touch ID lock with PIN fallback โ€ข Optional blur for amounts in the app switcher โ€ข Export to CSV or JSON any time, free โ€” your data is never held hostage SEE WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES The dashboard centers on one number: what you spent today, this week, this month, this year or all time, with a chart shaped to match. Tap a bar to filter the list to that period. Reports add a category breakdown, a payment-method breakdown, a six-period trend and month-over-month deltas that name your biggest mover. Every figure is computed on-device. FASTER THAN OPENING THE APP โ€ข Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, including an interactive "log it again" widget that saves your most frequent expense in one tap, without launching the app โ€ข Siri and Apple Shortcuts: "Log an expense in TapExpense", get your period total, open Quick Add, search expenses, or undo the last entry โ€ข A guided Apple Wallet automation, so an Apple Pay tap can hand the merchant and amount straight to TapExpense MULTIPLE PROFILES Keep personal, business or shared spending in fully separate profiles, each with its own categories, payment methods, currency and learned suggestions. Switch in one tap. BACKUP AND RESTORE, ON YOUR TERMS Create an encrypted backup (AES-256-GCM) protected by your own passphrase, and preview exactly what a restore will change before anything is applied. Restores merge safely by ID, so you never lose data by mistake. Schedule automatic backups and optionally keep them in your own iCloud Drive โ€” TapExpense never sees your files. OPTIONAL NOTION SYNC Mirror your expenses into your own Notion database as you log them. Entirely opt-in, with zero effect on the app if you never turn it on. FREE VS. PRO Unlimited expenses, up to 20 categories, one profile, current-month reports, CSV/JSON export and full backup/restore are free โ€” permanently, with no trial period and no nagging. TapExpense Pro adds unlimited profiles, full history and every reporting period, advanced filters, every widget and automation, and Notion sync. Backup and export stay free either way โ€” that line never moves. No accounts. No ads. No trackers. Just a fast, private way to know exactly where your money goes. About

Eluna Budget

Features

Eluna Budget keeps every transaction on your phone. No bank login, no account, no subscription, no ads. Nothing to sign up for, and nothing to cancel later. WHY NO BANK CONNECTION An aggregator wants your banking credentials and sells what it learns from them. This app never asks. You type an expense in a couple of seconds, or photograph a receipt, and that stays between you and your device. TWO WAYS TO BUDGET Simple limits: a ceiling per category and how much is left. Or envelopes: give every amount that comes in a job until nothing is unassigned. Both support rollover, and a period that starts on your card's statement day instead of the 1st. SEE WHERE IT IS HEADED Net worth across every account as one trend line. Forecast to the end of the month from your recurring bills and income, with a warning before the balance goes under. Auto-categories from local rules โ€” payee contains Starbucks, category is Coffee. No bank sync, no cloud AI; the rules run here. FAST ENTRY A calculator keypad, repeat-last, long-press a category for its subcategories, and receipt scanning that reads the total from a photo on the device itself. The photo goes nowhere. EVERYTHING A LEDGER NEEDS Accounts, categories, tags, transfers, split transactions, recurring payments, savings goals, debts in both directions, and reconciliation against a paper statement. 63 CURRENCIES Each account in its own currency. Rates refresh once a day if you allow it, or you type them in by hand and nothing is ever fetched. IMPORT INSTEAD OF A BANK LOGIN CSV, OFX and QIF files from your bank, read on this device. The app remembers each bank's column layout so the second import is one tap. YOUR DATA, YOURS TO TAKE Full CSV and JSON export, free and always there. Encrypted backups behind a password, automatic backups on a schedule, and PDF reports for any period. SYNC WITHOUT OUR SERVER We do not run one. Sync goes through your own iCloud, or through a file you control โ€” a shared folder, a network disk. Whoever holds that file sees ciphertext and nothing more. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION The database is encrypted with SQLCipher. Lock the app with a passcode or Face ID. There are no analytics, no crash reporters, no ad networks and no cloud AI anywhere in the dependency tree โ€” not switched off, absent โ€” and you can check that yourself on the licenses screen. The only requests the app can make are exchange rates, and only if you turn them on. FREE Every feature, from the first launch. There is no paid tier, no trial and no watermark. The only thing you can buy is a tip, and it unlocks nothing. ONE HONEST NOTE There is no background sync on iOS: changes travel when you open the app, not while it is closed. Also: 61 languages, nine app icons, and achievements awarded for the habit of writing things down โ€” never for how little you spend.
