About

Conchshell

Connect to your servers and computers from iPhone and iPad: an SSH terminal, files over SFTP and FTP, and remote desktops over RDP and VNC. TERMINAL • SSH with a key bar for what the on-screen keyboard lacks: Esc, Tab, a sticky Ctrl, arrows, ^C, ^D, ^Z, ^L, ^R and the symbols a shell keeps asking for. • Telnet and raw TCP sessions for network equipment and older systems. • Keep several sessions open and switch between them from the host list. • Choose the font, size, line spacing, color theme, cursor and scrollback. FILES • Browse a server's folders over SSH, SFTP, FTP or FTPS, and filter a folder by name. • Open a text file in the built-in editor, change it and save it back to the server. REMOTE DESKTOP • RDP for Windows PCs and servers, and VNC. • Your finger moves a pointer, as on a trackpad: tap to click, long-press to right-click, pinch to zoom, drag with two fingers to scroll. • A key bar with sticky Ctrl, Alt, Shift and Win, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down and F1–F12, plus a Paste button that types the text from your clipboard. • RDP fits the desktop to your screen or keeps a size you choose; 16-bit color sends less data over a slow connection. MONITOR • For SSH connections: CPU, memory, swap, disks, network traffic and latency, and the list of running processes. SECURITY AND NETWORK • Server keys are checked on every connection. The first time, you see the fingerprint and decide; if a key ever changes, the connection stops before you sign in and shows the old and new fingerprints. • If an RDP or FTPS server's certificate is not trusted by the system, you see its details and decide. • Reach servers through an SSH jump host or a SOCKS4, SOCKS4a, SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy — for SSH, SFTP, RDP and VNC. • Telnet, raw TCP, plain FTP and VNC cannot verify the server, and the app says so before you connect. PRIVACY • No account and no sign-in. Usage statistics stay off until you agree: the app asks once at first launch, and you can switch them on or off in Settings at any time. Server addresses, logins, passwords and what you type are never sent to us. English, Russian and Simplified Chinese interface; light and dark themes. Conchshell connects to servers and computers you already run or have access to. It does not provide servers of its own.
