Simple Gym Workout Log

Most gym apps are dark and busy. VOID isn't. I designed it to make logging easier, not harder. Log one set. It grows from there. WHAT I PUT IN It does what a workout log should do. Logging โ Weight, reps, and set count, grouped by exercise. Add, edit, or delete. Timer โ Time your rest between sets with durations you choose. History โ A calendar shows which days you trained. Pick a date to see that day's sets, and add, edit, or delete just like today's log. Widget โ Put that calendar on your home screen. Small, medium, or large. Progress โ See trends in days trained, reps, sets, and volume, over any period from one month to all time. View them overall, by category, or by exercise. Each exercise also shows its heaviest weight, its PR, and how long it's been since you last trained it. Categories and exercises โ Common exercises are there from the start. Add, rename, delete, and reorder them, so bodyweight and machine exercises fit too. Names can be in any language. Increments โ Set how much each button changes weight and reps. Units โ kg or lb. Theme โ Light, dark, or system. Language โ English or Japanese. First day of the week โ Sunday or Monday. The calendar and Progress follow it. Backup โ Export your records to a file and restore them later. CSV โ Export your records as a CSV file. HOW IT WORKS Pick an exercise and the weight and reps from your last session with it are already filled in. The more you log, the less there is to enter. To change them, use the buttons along the bottom of the screen. No keyboard appears โ the only exception is naming an exercise you add yourself. When the numbers are right, swipe them up. That saves the set. There is no save button. The numbers stay where they are, so another set at the same weight is one more swipe. Weight can stay at 0 kg. That's for bodyweight exercises. Swipe sideways from either edge of the screen to move between logging, today's sets, your history, and progress. WHAT I LEFT OUT Logging is still at the core. ยท Notes ยท Routines and programs ยท Goals ยท Body weight and body fat ยท Apple Health Not because I couldn't build them. I decided they weren't needed. If there's something you want, tell me. I read everything. NO ADS. NO NOTIFICATIONS. NO SIGN-UP. NO SYNC. You won't see an ad. You won't get a notification. There is no account to create and no email address to give. Nothing syncs anywhere. Your records are stored on this device. PAID FEATURES Progress and CSV export unlock with a one-time purchase. Not a subscription. Everything else is free, with no time limit. FROM THE DEVELOPER I build apps on my own. I tried a lot of workout apps, and they all seemed to be heading in the same direction. Dark screens, packed with information, complicated to look at. For people who already know what they're doing, that may work well. For someone just starting, or someone who only trains now and then, I thought it probably didn't. So I built this by taking things away instead of adding them โ a different shape for a workout app. If it isn't for you, that's a shame โ but don't feel bad about dropping it. Another app, pen and paper, or nothing at all โ just keep training.
FreeCals
Read full descriptionHide full description
FreeCals is a calorie tracker. There is no account to create, and your diary is stored on your phone. LOGGING A MEAL Scan a barcode and the packaged product comes back from Open Food Facts. Search by name and two databases answer: Open Food Facts for packaged products, USDA FoodData Central for generic foods like chicken breast or rolled oats. When neither has what you ate, describe it. Type or dictate "a bowl of porridge with 200 ml milk, a banana and a flat white" and FreeCals reads it into separate items with portions. Photograph the plate instead if that is quicker, or photograph a printed nutrition label and the numbers are read off it on your device. Paste a recipe URL or photograph a recipe and it becomes an ingredient list you can log a portion of, with a shopping list if you want one. WEIGHT AND TARGETS Log your weight and FreeCals follows the trend rather than the daily noise. From what you logged and how your weight actually moved it works out what you burn, and adjusts your target to match. Body measurements too. THE DAY AND THE WEEK 23 nutrients, not only the three macros. Water. A fasting timer. Supplements. Meals planned a day ahead. A score for the day and for the week, built from your own figures alone and able to show you exactly what it is made of. Ask a question about your own numbers in plain language and get an answer with your last four weeks in front of it. WATCH, WIDGETS, LIVE ACTIVITIES An Apple Watch app for calories left, water, quick add, weight and fasting, with complications. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. A Live Activity for a running fast and for the calories you have left today. APPLE HEALTH Two-way, each direction with its own switch, off until you turn it on. YOUR DATA The diary lives on the device. Export all of it as JSON and the diary as CSV whenever you want, and import it back. Deleting the app deletes the data. Barcode lookups, searches, descriptions, photos and questions go to the FreeCals backend and on to Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central or OpenAI to be answered. They carry no account, no device identifier and no cookies. What comes back is the answer. AI answers are estimates, and the app labels them as estimates. FreeCals is a tracking tool, not a medical device, and gives no medical advice. Product data from Open Food Facts, licensed under the Open Database License. Generic foods from USDA FoodData Central, published by the US Department of Agriculture and in the public domain. English and German.
