RackLog
Read full descriptionHide full description
RackLog is a private service book for your climbing gear. Record when each piece was made, when you started using it, how often it goes out and what you found when you inspected it. RackLog then shows which pieces are OK, which have an inspection due and which have reached the retirement point you set, according to the dates and counts you entered. RackLog is a record of what you entered. It is not an inspection and not a certification, and it does not replace the manufacturer's instructions or a competent person. When in doubt, replace it. YOUR RACK AT A GLANCE • Four plain statuses: OK, Inspect due, Retire due and Incomplete • A piece with no manufacture date is marked Incomplete, never treated as new • Build racks such as Sport or Gym and log sessions against the active one • A timeline for every piece: sessions, inspections, first use and notes SCAN THE HANGTAG Point the camera at a label or choose a photo of it. RackLog reads brand, model, serial or batch number and manufacture date on your iPhone and shows how clearly each field was read, so you can check it before saving. Nothing leaves your device. INSPECT AND RETIRE Each type comes with a short list of what to look for and a starting interval you can change. Mark each piece Keep, Monitor or Retire, add a note or photo, and inspect a whole rack in one pass. Record a major fall, chemical contact or a sharp edge and retire the piece straight away, whatever the calendar says. GEAR BOOK PDF A clean PDF of your gear: type, identity, serial, manufacture date, first use, last inspection, next due and status, followed by your inspection history and retired pieces. Share it when a gym, club or partner asks. APPLE WATCH, WIDGETS AND REMINDERS • Log a session from your wrist on the rack you pick; it reaches your iPhone the next time they are in range • See what is due on the Watch, with a complication for your watch face • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show how many pieces need attention • Optional reminders on the morning something comes due. Off until you turn them on PRIVATE BY DESIGN Data Not Collected. RackLog has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your gear book stays on your device. PRICING Your first 8 pieces are free, with every feature. Unlock Full Inventory is a one-time purchase of $7.99 that removes the cap. No subscription. Restore it on any device signed in to the same Apple ID. Built for climbers who own their rack and keep track of it in a notes file, a spreadsheet or not at all.
