About

Memorize It

Features

Every line of your passage becomes a picture. Look at the picture, say the line โ€” and you are off the page far sooner than re-reading gets you there. Memorize It works on anything you want to be able to say without looking at it: scripture, poetry, speeches, lines for a play, wedding vows. There are three ways to practise, and you can move between them freely. FILL IN THE BLANKS Start with the whole passage in front of you. Each round blanks out a few more words, so you are always working just past what you already know. Nothing is hidden from you until you have had a chance to learn it. Tap any blank once for its first letter, again for the whole word. SAY IT ALOUD The app reads the passage back to you and leaves the blanks silent, so your own voice fills the gaps. Audio is produced by your device, which means it works with no signal and costs nothing to use. PICTURE PROMPTS Every line gets its own illustration. Looking at a picture and recalling the line it stands for is a different kind of remembering than reading the words again โ€” it gets you off the page sooner. READY-MADE COLLECTIONS Sets that arrive already illustrated, with nothing to generate and nothing to wait for. Four psalms to begin with, free. And the ninety-six passages studied in seminary doctrinal mastery, grouped by book โ€” Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants โ€” each book one purchase, bought once and kept. ALSO IN THE APP โ€ข Your library colours itself by how well you know each passage, so one glance shows what still needs work โ€ข Split a long passage into parts, so each picture illustrates a single line rather than a whole paragraph โ€ข Share a passage as a link that anyone can open, whether or not they have the app installed โ€ข Your library syncs across your devices โ€ข Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app FREE AND PRO Writing, practising and audio are free and unlimited. Generating pictures is free up to an allowance; a Pro subscription raises that allowance each month. Collections are bought once and kept. SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Memorize It Pro is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. ABOUT YOUR TEXT Writing, practising and listening happen without any third party seeing your passages. The one exception is picture generation, which sends that passage's text to Google so a model can illustrate it. The app tells you this before you use it, and if a passage is private you can simply not generate pictures for it. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking across other apps or websites. About

Memorize The Bible

Features

Memorize The Bible teaches a verse the way people actually learn one. Read it aloud a few times. Then say it back as the words disappear โ€” a quarter at a time, then half, then three quarters, until you are reciting it with nothing on the screen. Tap any blank to peek at the word underneath for a moment. Peeking is free right up to the last pass, where the whole point is to have it. After each verse you recite everything up to that point together, so a chapter becomes a passage rather than a pile of verses. THE WHOLE BIBLE All 66 books, 1,189 chapters and 31,086 verses of the Berean Standard Bible, on your device. Start anywhere. MEMORY PLANS Learn a set of verses together: the Roman Road, the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord's Prayer, the Fruit of the Spirit, or any plan you assemble yourself. A verse learned in a plan is already learned in its chapter โ€” mastery belongs to the verse, so nothing is ever counted twice or learned twice over. Custom plans can be shared with a link. The plan travels inside the link itself, so there is no server involved and nothing to sign up for. Whoever you send it to sees exactly what it holds before deciding to keep it. WORDS THAT STAY PUT A blank is the same word drawn invisibly, so a line breaks in exactly the same place at every level and at every text size. Nothing reflows as you go, and the shape of the verse on the page becomes part of how you remember it. REVIEW WHAT YOU KNOW A memorized chapter can be reviewed whole, at whatever level of masking you choose. Reviewing can never undo the progress you have made. SHARE WHERE YOU ARE Draw a card showing your progress with a chapter, a book or a plan โ€” and a rather more celebratory one when you finish. COMPLETELY OFFLINE No account. No sign-in. No network requests of any kind. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no subscription, no in-app purchases. Your progress lives in a single file on your device and goes nowhere else. The app has no networking code in it at all. BUILT TO BE READ A serif face set with generous leading, a measure capped for comfortable reading, and a palette of six colours. Full Dynamic Type support through the accessibility sizes, VoiceOver labels throughout, and Reduce Motion respected. Portrait and landscape. A gentle daily reminder is available, scheduled on your device, and off until you ask for it. Scripture quotations are from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which has been dedicated to the public domain. Free resources are available at BereanBible.com.
