Step-a-thon turns everyday walking into a fun, friendly challenge for your whole group. Record a walk and your steps are counted right on your phone, then added to your total on a live leaderboard. Climb the rankings, cheer on your teammates, and collect badges as you hit new milestones. Built for organized step-a-thon events — schools, workplaces, colleges, and community groups — Step-a-thon makes it easy to run a healthy, high-energy activity where everyone can take part. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Record your walks and count steps automatically using your phone's motion sensor • Watch a live leaderboard update as you and your teammates rack up steps • Join a team and compete together toward a shared goal • Earn badges as you reach new milestones • Track your personal progress over the course of the event FOR EVENT ORGANIZERS Administrators can set up events, manage participants and teams, and follow standings in real time — everything you need to run a smooth step challenge. PRIVACY FIRST Step-a-thon collects very little. Your phone's motion sensor is used only while you're recording a walk, and only the resulting step count is saved — never the raw sensor data. No location tracking, no ads, and no third-party analytics. Read our privacy policy at https://steps.eskoops.com/privacy. Lace up, start walking, and see how far your team can go.

A snail is coming for you. It hatched near you and it already knows where you are. It moves in a straight line, through buildings, through rivers, through anything in the way. It does not sleep and it never loses you. Walking is the only thing that holds it back. HOW IT WORKS The snail crawls toward your real location, day and night, whether the app is open or not. It starts at about two miles a day and gets faster every three days you survive. Every step you take pushes it back. Snail reads the step count your iPhone already records, so it does not matter where you walk or how fast. A walk to the mailbox counts. A shift on your feet counts. Most of each walk pushes the snail away, and the rest is banked for later. Driving away does not help. Only steps buy distance, and heading toward it is a very bad idea. If it reaches you, the game is over. Days survived is your score. A new snail hatches at 6am. WHAT YOU CAN SEE Far away, you only get a rough idea of where it is. The closer it gets, the more precisely you know. Inside a thousand feet, you see exactly where it is. SALT AND SHELL Salt freezes the snail for six hours. You start with one and earn another every week you survive. Shell pushes it back three miles. It costs five banked miles. IT TELLS YOU WHEN IT IS CLOSE A notification at one mile, at half a mile, and when it is on your street. A word in the morning and in the evening on how the day is going. PRIVACY No account, no sign up, no email address. No ads, no trackers, no purchases. Snail reads your step count from Apple Health and writes nothing back. Your location is used to play the game. Nothing is sold and nothing is shared. BATTERY Snail uses your location in the background, because the snail does not stop when you close the app. While it is far away, Snail checks your position rarely. It only checks often when the snail is close.
