AI Voice Notes

Voice notes that write themselves โ the transcript, a summary, the key points and your to-do list, all worked out on your iPhone with nothing uploaded. You had the thought in the car, and by the time you were at a keyboard it was gone. AI Notes is for catching it while you are still talking: press record, say it however it comes out, and get back something you can actually use. What you get back from every recording: โข The full transcript, with the recording still there to play alongside it โข A short summary written for someone who will read it instead of listening โข The points worth keeping, pulled out and listed โข Anything you said you would do, collected into one to-do list across every note How it works: โข Press record and talk โ no setup, no account, no sign-in โข Words appear on screen as you speak, in whatever language you speak โข Tasks from every note gather in one place, and can be sent to your calendar โข A calendar view of what you recorded and when โข Search across everything you have ever said โข Playback at 1ร, 1.5ร or 2ร, with a 15-second jump back โข Light and dark themes, and haptics you can switch off Nothing leaves your phone. The recording, the transcription and the summary all happen on this device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account to create, and no one else can read what you said โ including us. Good to know: โข Live text as you speak needs a one-off download of about 460 MB, offered inside the app. Without it, notes are still transcribed โ just after you stop rather than while you talk. โข The richest summaries use Apple Intelligence, which needs iOS 26 on a supported iPhone. On other devices the app still writes a summary, key points and tasks, worked out from the transcript itself. Recording is part of AI Notes PRO, and there is a free trial to begin with. Notes you have already made stay playable, readable and searchable either way. Payment will be charged to the payment method connected to your Apple Account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the renewal cost shown. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your account settings after purchase. Any unused part of a free trial period, where one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Turn your voice into text, right on your phone. This app handles transcription, dictation, and speech to text entirely on your device, with no limits on how long a recording can be or how many times you use it. โ No time limits Transcribe a one-hour meeting or a 90-minute lecture start to finish. Use the app as often as you need in a month. There's no cap on transcript length or file size โ it just keeps going until you're done talking. โ Your audio never leaves your device All transcription happens locally on your device. This app has no server connection for your recordings, so there's nothing sent out over the network. That makes it a straightforward choice for meeting notes, interviews, or any conversation you'd rather keep to yourself. โ Text appears as you talk Watch the transcript build in real time while you record, instead of waiting afterward. Each pause in speech starts a new paragraph, and every paragraph gets its own timestamp. โ Transcribe files you already have Import audio you recorded earlier, or files exported from a meeting platform, and turn them into text. It works with audio you bring in from elsewhere, not only with recordings made in the app. โ Automatic summaries After transcription, the app generates a short summary along with key points and action items. Choose a template suited to what you recorded โ meeting, lecture, interview, or personal notes. On devices that don't support the on-device summarization model, it falls back to pulling the most important sentences directly from the transcript, and the app shows you which method was used. โ Search across every recording Type a word or phrase and search through all your past transcripts at once. Tap any result to jump straight to that paragraph and play the audio from that exact moment. โ Export your way Save transcripts as plain text (.txt) or subtitle files (.srt), or export the original audio, so you can hand your notes off to any other app. โ Transcription in 30 languages The app understands Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and many more languages. The first time you use a language, the app downloads its transcription data (about 200โ350 MB), and it asks you before the download starts. After that one-time download, transcription for that language works without an internet connection. โ What this app doesn't do It can't automatically tell speakers apart โ on-device speech recognition doesn't provide a way to identify who's talking, so this feature isn't offered. Paragraph breaks and timestamps are there to help you follow the flow of a conversation instead. It also doesn't record phone calls. Call-recording rules differ from country to country, so this feature was deliberately left out. It's built for in-person conversations, meetings, lectures, and personal voice notes. The app's display language can be changed from inside the app itself, separate from your device's system language setting. Whether you need an ai note taker for work, a way to keep dictation and meeting notes organized, or a recorder that turns speech to text automatically, this app keeps the whole process on your phone from start to finish.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kikitori at none against AI Voice Notes's 4. AI Voice Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
