Arrow Loop
Read full descriptionHide full description
Sharpen your logic in quiet focus. One loop. A few shaded cells. That's the whole rule โ and the longer you look at the board, the clearer your mind becomes. Use the arrow-and-number clues to shade exactly as many cells as each arrow points to, then draw a single closed loop through every remaining cell. Shaded cells never touch side by side, and clue cells are never shaded or crossed by the loop. WHAT YOU GET - A pencil logic puzzle in the Yajilin style: draw the loop, shade the cells - Every board has exactly one answer - Hand-picked boards you can solve by reasoning alone. No guessing required - Four levels from Easy (6x6) to Expert (12x12), graded by the depth of reasoning - Today's puzzle: one board for everyone, set by the date - Drag to draw the loop, tap to shade a cell - Leave a puzzle and continue right where you stopped - Ranks and titles that grow as you solve - Gentle help when you're stuck: mistake highlighting and hints - Six board themes: Indigo, Ink, Vermilion, Pine, Sakura and Night - Fully offline. No sign-up - English and Japanese, in a calm paper-and-ink style MADE FOR YOU IF - You want to turn a few spare minutes into quiet, focused thinking - You enjoy Slitherlink, Nurikabe, Sudoku or nonograms - You're tired of ambiguous puzzles and ad-heavy apps - You love the satisfying click of a single, certain answer - You'd like a small bedtime ritual with nothing chasing you PEACE OF MIND - Free to start. No subscriptions - No third-party ads - Your records stay on your device (no account needed) - The app shows small cards introducing other apps by the developer (TORANKIRITE). To build them, the app reads public App Store information; nothing about you is sent
Driftile
Read full descriptionHide full description
Driftile is a relaxing slide puzzle game with one rule: get every color together in one group. Swipe once and the whole board moves. Every tile slides at the same time, as far as it can go, until something stops it โ so you cannot move one tile without moving all of them. Level 1 teaches it in a single swipe, and there is no tutorial to sit through. That is the whole game. It gets hard anyway. NO TIMERS. NO LIVES. NO PRESSURE. Nothing here is rushing you. Sit with a puzzle as long as you like. Undo as much as you want โ the move counter rewinds with you, so thinking is free. Every board is checked by a solver before it ships, so a solution always exists. If you get stuck, that is the puzzle, not a bug. And if you stay stuck, the game offers you a free hint instead of waiting for you to give up. Hints show the next move, never the whole answer. A LONG WAY TO GO โข 1,000+ levels along one continuous path, through 51 chapters and 10 regions, and the difficulty climbs the whole way โข Every one of them ships inside the app, so the campaign is an offline puzzle game โ play on a plane, underground, or anywhere with no signal โข Quick Play deals you a board at the difficulty you choose, in one tap โข A new daily puzzle every day, and everyone in the world gets the same board. Share how you did as an emoji grid PLAY WITH PEOPLE โข Race a friend through the same set of boards, live โข Or send a challenge and let them answer whenever they like โข Play what other people have built, or build your own โ the editor checks your puzzle while you draw it and will not let you publish one that cannot be solved RELAXING, BUT NOT EASY This is a calm, minimalist puzzle game with no score to chase and nothing to grind. The difficulty is in the idea rather than the pressure: a board where everything moves at once is a logic puzzle, and the late chapters are genuinely hard brain teasers. If you like logic puzzles, brain games, or a block puzzle without the clutter, this will fit. BUILT FOR EVERYONE Turn on color shapes and every color gets its own chess piece, so the game works if you are colorblind. There is full keyboard support, reduced motion, big touch targets, and screen reader labels on everything โ including the board itself. Board themes, including light ones for playing outdoors. 14 awards and a stats screen, if you like chasing numbers. Stars for solving in the fewest moves โ but finishing is always a win. Playable in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Arabic. No ads in the middle of a puzzle, ever. Swipe. Watch it all move. Group every color.

Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Arrow Loop at none against Driftile's shown. Driftile's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
