ClickPad

One remote for the setup you actually have: an Apple TV plugged into a TV whose own remote you still need for half of it. Navigate tvOS with a fast, tactile click wheel, then reach the TV's own controls — menu, inputs, and volume that actually moves your soundbar — without switching apps or hunting for a second remote. VOLUME THAT FINALLY WORKS If your Apple TV can't change your TV's volume, ClickPad can. It talks to the TV directly over your network, so volume and mute reach the TV and whatever's plugged into it. WORKS WITH TVs THE OFFICIAL APPS HAVE DROPPED If the manufacturer's own app no longer lists your set, or never worked right with it, ClickPad very likely still will. It speaks to the TV the way its original remote does. No account, no cloud, no extra hardware. EVERYTHING RUNS ON YOUR IPHONE No hub, no computer, no bridge app running somewhere else. Pair once with the code on your screen and you're done. • Click wheel for tvOS: navigate, select, back, home, play/pause • Volume that works with receivers and soundbars, not just TV speakers • Your TV's own menu, inputs, and info • Link an Apple TV to the TV it's plugged into — one screen drives both • Lock Screen, Control Center, and Action Button buttons • Home Screen widget WORKS WITH Apple TV (4th generation and later) · Sony Bravia (2013 and later) · Samsung Smart TVs (2016 and later). All devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Don't see your TV? Send a request from inside the app — that's what drives which TVs get added next. PRICING ClickPad is a one-time purchase of $9.99 that unlocks every remote and control in the app permanently. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Family Sharing is supported. The price shown is US pricing and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. CarScan

CarScan reads your car's fault codes through an OBD-II adapter and explains them in plain words — no dictionary of abbreviations, no "see your dealer". WHAT IT DOES • Polls the control modules and shows which answered and which stayed silent. • Reads fault codes and decodes them: not just «P0171», but what usually stands behind it and what is cheaper to check first. • Shows live data: RPM, speed, temperature, pressure, engine load. Remembers the lowest and highest value of the trip. • Records a trip to a file — for the intermittent fault that never shows up at the garage. • Shows inspection readiness and on-board monitoring test results. • Resets the service interval — where the car allows it. • Builds a report for the mechanic in plain text: forward it or print it. • Demo mode: walk through every screen on a made-up car before buying an adapter. HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS An OBD-II adapter is required and bought separately. Any of four kinds will do: Bluetooth, Bluetooth BLE, Wi-Fi or USB. A service reset is not possible on every car and not with every adapter: it needs talking to modules directly, and cheap ELM327 clones cannot do it. The app checks whether your adapter can, and says so plainly instead of trying blindly. If a module stayed silent, we write exactly that — «did not answer». It is not the same as «no faults». WHAT STAYS WITH YOU Trip recordings, communication logs and parameter snapshots are kept on the phone only and never leave it by themselves. ACCESS The app is free for the first few days, so you can see that it talks to your particular car. After that a licence is required. LANGUAGES Russian and English, switchable inside the app. SUPPORT Write to us from inside the app, on the Support tab — the answer arrives there. Privacy policy: https://carscan.app/privacy/

Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: CarScan at every 10 days against ClickPad's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.
