Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: CubeTapper at daily against Switchback's every 10 days. CubeTapper also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Switchback's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Switchback sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and CubeTapper sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Switchback against 5.0 for CubeTapper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Switchback has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Switchback ships an update every 10 days, CubeTapper daily. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
