Lexicon is IELTS preparation with an AI examiner. Sit full-length Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking papers on your iPhone, get a band for each with the evidence behind it, and follow a plan built around your test date and target score. Academic and General Training. THE FOUR PAPERS, AT EXAM LENGTH • Listening — four sections, 40 questions, one play. Note and form completion, multiple choice, matching, plan and map labelling. • Reading — three passages, 40 questions, 60 minutes. Matching headings, True/False/Not Given, Yes/No/Not Given, summary and sentence completion. General Training has its own texts and scoring table. • Writing — Task 1 charts, tables, processes and maps (letters in General Training), Task 2 essays, on a timed editor with spell-check off, like the test centre. • Speaking — a three-part interview with an AI examiner: Part 1 questions, the Part 2 cue card with a minute to prepare, Part 3 follow-ups that build on what you said. A SCORE YOU CAN TRUST • Every scored test uses material you have not seen. Practice and tests never share questions, so the number is not inflated by what you just drilled. • A band always comes with its range. If there is not enough to judge, Lexicon says so instead of guessing. • Per-criterion bands for Writing and Speaking: Task Achievement, Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammar and Fluency. • Feedback tied to your own words: a heatmap over your transcript and every examiner note linked to the sentence it is about. A PLAN, NOT A PILE OF EXERCISES • Tell Lexicon your exam, target band, test date and minutes a day. It builds the weeks in between: one scored test a week, weakest paper first, something to do every day. • Home shows what to do today and how long it takes; Progress draws each paper's band over time. PRACTICE BY THE PIECE • Single sections, passages, tasks and interview parts, never scored — for working on one skill. • A word bank of 33 themed sets, 792 words with audio, and a review queue for the ones you missed. BUILT FOR THE TEST YOU BOOKED • Academic or General Training, changeable in Settings. If your reason is immigration or work, Lexicon suggests General Training and says why. • Target presets for university offers and Canada and Australia immigration routes, with the minimum band per paper. • 16 unseen full tests each for Listening and Reading, 80 writing tasks, 48 speaking topics. PRIVATE • Speaking is recorded and transcribed on your iPhone. No account; your sessions, plan and progress stay on the device. Free: three practice sessions and the first three word sets. Every scored test needs Lexicon Premium. All questions, passages, recordings and cue cards are original material in the style of the exam.
