SwimEase

SwimEase answers a question your swim log does not: what did that set actually turn into? Every set has two halves. The half you write on the board — ten hundreds on a one forty-five — and the half the clock gives back: the seconds you get on the wall before the next one leaves. Every log stores the first half. SwimEase shows you the second. WRITE THE SET THE WAY YOU WRITE IT ON A BOARD "10x100 free" is a whole set. The reps, the distance and the stroke are read straight out of it, and the send-off you should write beside it is worked out for you — rounded up to the five seconds a pace clock actually reads. THE WALL Every rep of the set becomes a column of the rest it really gave you, banded against your own floor: held, tight, or missed. You watch the rest collapse instead of reading an average that hides it. THE TURN The app names the rep at which the set stopped being the set you wrote, says what it became, and prescribes the send-off that would have held all of it — solved against your slowest rep, because an average-based answer still breaks on the reps that were already breaking. YOUR THRESHOLD, FROM TWO OF YOUR OWN SWIMS Swim a 200 and a 400 as hard as you can hold. The arithmetic is shown, not hidden, and every send-off in the app is worked out from the result. A SET LIBRARY THAT REMEMBERS Save the sets you come back to. Each one carries how it went last time — held six, turned at seven — so the next board is written from evidence. BUILT FOR POOL SWIMMERS Short course yards, short course metres and long course metres, every swim filed under the pool it was swum in and converted when it needs to be. No watch, no chest strap, no hardware at all. FREE, WITH NO ACCOUNT NEEDED TO LOOK AROUND The board and its prescribed send-off, the Wall and the Turn on your latest set, the threshold test, your set library, your personal bests and swim-day reminders are free, and nothing you log is ever deleted. SWIMEASE FULL ACCESS (optional subscription) - How long you hold — your turn across every comparable set, the number that actually moves with fitness - Drift — a steady fade told apart from going out too hard, on two sets with the same average - What the set really was — the zone you actually swam, against the one you wrote on the board - Where your volume went — split by the zone your sets truly were, not the label you gave them - Your whole history — every swim you have logged, not just the last 30 days, and all of it as a file - $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, after a 14-day free trial - Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings. SwimEase estimates training paces from the times you enter. It is a training log, not medical or health advice. Layerly is a calm, organized home for your supplements, medications, and peptides, giving you a clear view of your daily routine and how it all fits together. If your routine has grown past what you can hold in your head, Layerly makes it easier to see what you're taking, when you're taking it, and where things may overlap. THE LAYERS OF YOUR ROUTINE Keep your supplements, medications, and peptides organized with the ingredients, doses, schedules, brands, and reasons you take them. Add a supplement simply by taking a photo of the Supplement Facts label, or enter it manually. Search your stack anytime and quickly find what you need. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TAKING AND WHEN See your routine organized by morning, midday, evening, and bedtime. With a tap, mark each dose taken or skipped, see your 7-day adherence, and use optional reminders to help you stay on track. See when you're running low so you know when a refill may be coming up. SEE HOW IT ALL FITS TOGETHER Layerly brings the different parts of your routine into one clear picture. Your 0–100 Clarity Score looks at ingredient overlaps, interactions and timing, adherence, and how completely your stack is set up. See each area individually, along with the findings behind it, so you know what may be worth a closer look. SPOT OVERLAPS AND UPPER LIMITS See when the same ingredient appears across multiple products. Layerly adds up the amounts across your stack and compares the total with published Tolerable Upper Intake Levels from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, making overlaps easier to spot. COST AND SPEND See your estimated monthly spend, including costs associated with ingredients that overlap across multiple products. TIMING AND INTERACTION AWARENESS Layerly highlights well-documented interaction and timing considerations across your stack, including common absorption concerns and drug-supplement cautions, with helpful context and topics you may want to discuss with your doctor or pharmacist. ABOUT THE AI When you photograph a label, the photo is sent to be read and is never stored - only the text it contains is kept. Layerly can also write a short plain-language note about an item you have saved. It is generated from that item's own fields. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE Layerly is an educational and organizational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not tell you what to take or how much. Insights about overlaps, interactions and timing are general awareness grounded in public references. Peptides are organizer-only - no dosing or sourcing guidance. Always talk with your healthcare provider or pharmacist before changing any supplement or medication. Verdict
SwimEase and Layerly are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. SwimEase sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Layerly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
