A nursery tag says "full sun" and means it for everywhere. Gardenory works out what that rating means in YOUR bed, at your latitude, on today's date. FULL SUN, HERE Tell Gardenory which way a bed faces, how big it is, and what stands near it. It computes the light that bed really receives, month by month — and it does not simply add up hours. Four hours of morning light on an east-facing bed carries roughly half the energy of four midday hours on a south-facing one, which is exactly why generic advice recommends tomatoes for beds that cannot ripen them. THE SUN RIBBON Watch the sun travel over your bed in plan view, with the shadow of your fence or maple sweeping across it. Drag through the day, or through the year. IDENTIFY A PLANT, HONESTLY Photograph a plant and Gardenory commits to an answer or tells you plainly that it is not sure. It will happily give you the genus rather than invent a species, it never guesses a variety from a photo — no photograph can separate one tomato cultivar from another — and it shows no accuracy percentage, because a number reads as certainty. It never tells you whether something is safe to eat. FOUR ANSWERS, NOT ONE ZONE Your hardiness zone describes winter cold and nothing else. Gardenory gives you winter minimum, summer heat days, season length and per-bed light as four separate answers, and says out loud what the zone cannot tell you. FROST AS A RANGE Published frost dates are probabilities, not deadlines. You get an even-money date and a safe date about a fortnight apart, and your own logged frosts replace the estimate over time. SOWING WINDOWS THAT SUBTRACT PROPERLY Indoor start including the germination lag most tools leave out, transplant, and a last safe sow date that subtracts days to maturity, the autumn slowdown AND your harvest window from first frost. ONE MESSAGE A DAY Everything due, batched into a single reminder at an hour you choose. Never one alert per plant. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from a server. YOUR RECORD, EXPORTABLE Every date holds both a plan and what actually happened. Export the whole thing to CSV at any time, on any plan. FREE, ALWAYS Your beds, the sun model, the journal, the calendar, the zone card, frost dates, CSV export and 10 plant identifications a month. GARDENORY PRO (optional subscription) Rotation Guard, succession ladders, days-to-maturity learned from your own harvest dates, a variety leaderboard, the garden-centre fit check, seed-lot germination rates and unlimited identifications. - $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year, each with a 14-day free trial - Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription auto-renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID Settings. Gardenory asks for no location permission and contains no GPS. It offers horticultural information, not professional agricultural or safety advice. Inosc is a habit app for exactly two people. Not a feed. Not a leaderboard. One partner, five habits each, and two trees that grow from the days you both show up. Two trees planted close enough will fuse as they grow. Their roots join and they share water. Botanists call it inosculation. That is the whole idea. HOW IT WORKS - Pick five habits. Mark one as your priority. - Invite one person. Just one. Or start solo and invite them when you're ready. - Tick your habits each day. So do they. - Every day you both show up, your roots grow toward each other. At 66 days, the typical time it takes for a new habit to feel automatic, they meet. - Every seven days that count add a ring to your tree. Tap your tree to see them. - Add a photo to a habit if you want your partner to see it. Photos are kept for 14 days. - Nudge them when they have gone quiet. Gently. - Sign in with Apple, Google or your email. WHY TWO Accountability collapses in a crowd. It works when one specific person notices you are missing. Inosc has no way to add a second partner, and that is on purpose. Studies back it up: people who change a habit together with a partner do better than people who go it alone. SUBSCRIPTION Inosc is an automatically renewing subscription, with a free trial of 14 days for new subscribers. Prices in the United States after the trial (the app always shows the price in your own currency): - Solo monthly: $6.99 per month - Annual: $39.99 per year - Paired monthly: $4.99 per month. This price unlocks after seven paired days, meaning days you and your partner both show up while paired to each other. Once earned, it stays yours for as long as your subscription continues. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings at any time.
