JazzTree is a visual listening guide to jazz history. Explore 39 genres, see how they descend from, react against, and revive one another, and find about 350 records selected to make those relationships audible. EXPLORE THE LINEAGE Follow jazz across time in three complementary views: a focused rail, historical spans, and a full influence map. Filter connections by harmony, rhythm, form, instrumentation, improvisation, timbre, repertoire, social context, and technology. BROWSE 39 GENRES Search and sort genre profiles with concise histories, musical traits, key figures, contested boundaries, and gateway, core, and deep-listening albums. FOLLOW CURATED PATHS Take three ordered listening routes. Each step explains why one record follows another, and your progress stays on your device. LISTEN IN YOUR SERVICE Open albums in Spotify, Apple Music, or NetEase Cloud Music. JazzTree does not require an account. BUILT FOR CAREFUL EXPLORATION β’ About 350 albums β’ English and Simplified Chinese β’ Light and dark appearances β’ Offline editorial content β’ Confidence notes for uncertain discographic details β’ No ads and no JazzTree account Genre boundaries are arguments, not facts. JazzTree shows where scholars disagree and makes its editorial uncertainty visible.
