Sweets come down four chutes set into the rim of a copper tray. Tap a chute mouth and one sweet enters that lane, the whole line shifts along to make room, and whatever sat at the far end tips off the edge and is gone. Three of a kind in a row set hard and lift off the tray as sweetness. Nothing falls in to replace them. The tray only ever fills, so each pour is a decision about where the next gap goes and how long you can work around it. Twenty four batches run across four recipe lines, and each line adds one complication instead of handing you all of them at once. The Sugar Bench keeps the tray still, so a gap stays exactly where the sugar set. The Boiling Room tilts the lane you poured along, which is what lets one set feed the next. The Cold Store brings hardened crusts and sweets that arrive still wrapped. The Winter Line drops lids over the chutes. Orders change from batch to batch: set twelve gumdrops, reach seven hundred sweetness, chip away two crusts, or finish the work having spilled no more than three sweets over the rim. Every batch is judged one to three ribbons, and the third is not handed out kindly. Eight infusions back up the tray when a batch turns stubborn. Four are boiled from sugarleaf in the syrup workshop, and the other four come from pairing two of those in the pot, one recipe each, so there is nothing to guess at. Syrup Thread draws a whole lane off. Burnt Honey melts every crust at once. Around that sit a daily jar rolled from the date and identical for everyone who opens it, an almanac of forty leaves that fills in as you meet each sweet and each kind of trouble, twenty eight mastery marks across three tiers, a ledger of best batches, an open ended Free Pour, and a Counter Duel for two people taking turns on one screen. Portrait, offline, no ads and nothing to buy.
Exdrago Elements
Read full descriptionHide full description
Exdrago Elements is an offline arcade roguelike. Your dragon walks on its own, one tile at a time, down through chambers it has never seen. You choose the turns, and you choose what it grows into. SIX ELEMENTS, ONE RING Ember, Frost, Storm, Stone, Venom, Arcane. Every limb you graft belongs to one of them, and so does every creature waiting in the dark. They answer each other in a circle. Ember melts Frost, Frost grounds Storm, Storm shatters Stone, Stone smothers Venom, Venom corrodes Arcane, Arcane snuffs Ember. Whichever element your coil leans on strikes 3 harder against the one it beats, and takes 1 more from the one that beats it. A mark on each creature shows where you stand, so you can walk around a fight you would lose. GROW THE COIL Reach the gate and it offers three limbs. Rime Talons add 3 strike and frost over on contact. An Ember Sac adds 4 and carries three points of vitality, so it burns out early. Basalt Plating adds 2 guard and nine points of scale. A Far Eye pushes the dark back one more tile. Seven links is the limit. After that, every graft replaces something you chose earlier. SWEEP OR RUN The gate takes you down whether you fight or not. Slip past every creature and you reach the next floor with your scales intact and your pockets empty. Kill the last one in a chamber and the sweep pays a bounty that climbs with depth. THE FORGE Embers outlive the run. Between descents you spend them on a tougher maw, a heavier strike, thicker hide, or a spare maw that relights once when the first one goes out. Rank up a single elemental limb and it arrives stronger the next time the gate offers it. SIGHT Your dragon sees one tile in every direction. The rest of the board is memory. Stack Far Eyes to push that boundary out, or walk into whatever the dark was holding. The exit lights up across the whole chamber once the last creature falls. Go down, and bring something back.
