Speedometer HUD GPS

Speedometer shows your speed clearly and accurately straight from GPS: in your car, on your bike, on a boat or on foot. WHY THIS ONE Most speedometer apps show you a number and hope you trust it. This one shows the number and the GPS accuracy behind it, so you always know whether the fix is good to 3 metres or only to 40. Weak fixes are weighted down instead of being drawn as spikes, and your trip's top speed is only updated from a reading the app considers reliable. One bad GPS jump will not become a record you never drove. And it stays out of the way: no ads, no analytics, no account, no cloud. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to. FREE - Accurate real-time GPS speed with a live accuracy readout - Clear display styles: digital LED readout and car-style gauge - Distance, average speed, top speed and trip time - Units: km/h, mph, m/s, knots, ft/s - HUD mode: mirrored display for windshield reflection - Dark and light themes, selectable LED colors - Tracking continues in the background even with the screen locked - Speed limit alert: set your own limit and get sound, vibration and a flashing warning - Trip summary right after every trip: distance, time, moving time, average and top speed PREMIUM - Extra display styles: KITT arc, 7-segment display, bar meter and minimal dial - Cycling and walking modes with fitting gauge scales - Trip history with route maps and statistics - Map view with real-time route drawing - Export any trip as GPX or CSV and share it anywhere TWO WAYS TO GET PREMIUM - Yearly subscription, cancel anytime in your App Store account - One-time purchase: pay once and keep Premium forever, no renewals, no subscription PRIVACY - No ads, no analytics, no account - Measurements and trip history are stored only on your own device NOTE: This app is not a navigation device. Always obey traffic rules and speed limits, and keep your eyes on the road. GPS accuracy depends on your device and conditions. Continuous GPS use may increase battery consumption. EarTimer

A quiet break. A focused study session. A reminder through your headphones. EarTimer helps you keep track of time in libraries, shared workspaces, and other quiet places. Set a countdown and hear the timer through connected wired headphones or Bluetooth earphones, including AirPods. MAKE TIME FOR YOUR NEXT TASK ⢠Take a short break between study or work sessions. ⢠Set aside time to read or focus without watching the clock. ⢠Keep track of a quiet rest in a shared space. SET, START, AND STAY IN CONTROL ⢠Choose hours, minutes, and seconds. ⢠Check the current audio output before you start. ⢠Test playback through your connected headphones. ⢠Pause, resume, or cancel a running timer. ⢠See and control your timer in a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, and in the Dynamic Island on supported iPhones. HOW HEADPHONE PLAYBACK WORKS EarTimer starts timer audio when a supported external audio output is connected. If that output disconnects, the app pauses its audio rather than intentionally routing the timer sound to the iPhone speaker. Without headphones, the system timer may still show an alert and vibrate; the selected timer sound does not start. KEEP THESE LIMITATIONS IN MIND Keep EarTimer running; do not force-quit it before your timer ends. Headphone audio is not guaranteed after force-quitting, an iPhone restart, or termination by iOS. Calls, Siri, other audio apps, Bluetooth reconnection, and system conditions can interrupt playback. Reopen EarTimer with headphones connected to prepare playback again. Check your audio output and volume before use. Do not rely on EarTimer as your only alarm for an important wake-up or deadline. FREE WITH OPTIONAL AD REMOVAL The free app can show a non-personalized banner ad on the Timer screen. A one-time Remove Ads in-app purchase removes the banner. Customers who purchased EarTimer before it became free retain their ad-free experience. Purchases can be restored in Settings. Advertising and privacy choices are explained in the app's privacy policy. Requires an iPhone with iOS 26.0 or later. Headphone audio requires a compatible connected output; Live Activity availability depends on the device and system settings.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Speedometer HUD GPS at none against EarTimer's 1. Speedometer HUD GPS also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). EarTimer's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price there is nothing between them.
