Gosai
Read full descriptionHide full description
Gosai is a solo tile-laying puzzle inspired by Kutani ware โ Japanese porcelain famous for its five overglaze colors. Pick a pile and take its three tiles. Place each one on a cell whose dots match its color. When the piles run out, the kiln opens, and your board is scored by three cards: fill the rim, build the diagonal, gather a flock of one color. Only the final board counts. NO LUCK Every pile โ and the order in which they vanish โ is visible from your very first move. There is nothing to draw and nothing to hope for. If you fall short, there was a better line, and you can find it. Stars are awarded at 55%, 75% and 92% of the best score possible on that exact board. Match the best score, and the firing is perfect. EIGHT CHAPTERS 200 handcrafted stages, from plain porcelain to gold brocade. New scoring cards appear as you go โ 28 in all โ and each one changes how you read the board. Every chapter also holds fifteen extra stages that build from gentle to brutal. TODAY'S PIECE One shared puzzle a day. The whole world plays the same board: one attempt for the Game Center leaderboard, then practice as often as you like. A QUIET SHOP Stars are earned, never sold.
