Point the camera at the cube in your hand and leave the rest to the app: it scans the size and the colors automatically, works out a solution, then guides you back to a solved cube move by move with a 3D animation. GUIDED MODE — Scan → calculate a solution → follow the 3D animation step by step. Go to the previous step, the next step, replay the last move, or let it play automatically; the progress bar on the right tells you how many moves are left at any time. FREE PLAY — Scramble a virtual cube whenever you like and twist the layers with your finger. Your time and move count are recorded automatically, and your best on this device is refreshed as soon as you beat it. No network needed — play anywhere, anytime. ALGORITHMS — Eight basic algorithms across the seven steps of the layer-by-layer method. Tap one for a 3D demo, and beginners can simply follow the turns to solve all six faces for the first time. • 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 and 5×5 are supported, and more kinds of cubes, more modes and richer ways to play are on the way. • No network, no ads, no account, no sign-in, and nothing is collected or uploaded. Recognition and solving both run entirely on your iPhone. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Turnsmith
Read full descriptionHide full description
Stuck on a scrambled cube? Turnsmith shows you how to solve it, one quarter turn at a time, on a 3D cube that turns exactly like the one in your hands. COPY YOUR CUBE Paint the colors face by face while the cube on screen turns to show you which face comes next. Tap to paint, drag to paint a whole row, and undo anything. If a color is wrong, Turnsmith says where: which color is counted twice, which piece cannot exist, and which square is probably the culprit. FOLLOW THE MOVES Every move is shown on the 3D cube with a brass arrow, in words ("the right column goes up, away from you") and in notation. Go at your own pace, set how long each move holds, step back, scrub, or turn the view with a finger. Solutions for the 3x3 are about 20 moves, worked out in under a second, entirely on your device. A TWISTED CORNER? A FLIPPED EDGE? If a piece was turned or popped out by hand, Turnsmith spots it, solves everything else, and tells you exactly which piece to fix with your fingers. LEARN TO SOLVE IT YOURSELF Eight short lessons for the 3x3 and four for the 2x2 teach the beginner method, each with demos and practice cubes. Coach my cube solves your own cube the same way, lesson by lesson. TIME YOUR SOLVES A competition-style timer: hold to start, 15-second inspection with calls at 8 and 12, +2 and DNF, sessions, averages of 5, 12, 50 and 100, a chart and your full history to export. Optional Game Center leaderboards and achievements. PATTERNS AND FLAGS Checkerboards, cube in a cube, the superflip and more, plus flags from around the world. Play any pattern from a solved cube or straight from your own, undo it just as quickly, or design your own and let Turnsmith find the moves. MADE TO BE COMFORTABLE - Works offline, with no account and no sign-up - Designs for your cube, including a color-blind design with a shape on every color - Dark and light appearances, larger text, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion - iPhone and iPad, iOS 15 and newer FAIR AND SIMPLE Nothing is locked away: every puzzle, solution, lesson and pattern, and the timer. A small banner appears only on the pattern, lesson and statistics lists, and an occasional short ad after a finished solution, never while you are solving. Ads are non-personalized and suitable for all ages. Remove Ads is a single purchase, not a subscription, and also unlocks every design.
