Pogo Planet
Read full descriptionHide full description
One pogo stick. Hundreds of ways to fall off it. Pogo Planet is a precision jumping game about timing, nerve and the stubborn belief that you will get it right on the next attempt. Every bounce carries momentum into the next one. Every landing decides whether you keep going or start the course again. The controls take about five seconds to learn and considerably longer to master. PLAY TOGETHER ON ONE PHONE You do not need a second device to play with someone. Hand the phone across the table, take turns, and watch your friend find out exactly how hard that jump was. Local multiplayer works anywhere, without a connection, without anyone else having to install anything and without an account. ONLINE FOR UP TO 8 PLAYERS Jump into an online match with up to eight players at once. Race for the finish, fight for position and get in each other's way at the worst possible moment. Matches are quick, loud and rarely go the way anyone planned. Win one and you will want another. Lose one and you will definitely want another. BUILD YOUR OWN COURSES The built in level editor gives you the same tools the game itself is made of. Place platforms, set hazards, decide where the checkpoints go and where they definitely should not go. Test your creation immediately, adjust the part that felt wrong, then hand it to your friends and find out whether you built something clever or simply cruel. Most people discover they are much better at designing pain than surviving it. DOZENS OF HANDCRAFTED LEVELS The campaign runs through several difficulty tiers. The early courses are friendly and quietly teach you how momentum works. The later ones assume you were paying attention. Every level is built by hand rather than generated, so each one has its own rhythm, its own shortcut for the brave and its own trap waiting somewhere in the middle. ENDLESS MODE One run. No checkpoints. The course keeps coming and the only question is how far you get before your timing slips. Ideal for the two minutes you have while waiting for something else, and responsible for a great many missed bus stops. HARDCORE MODE For players who finished the normal levels and felt mildly insulted by how easy they were. No safety net, no second chances, no sympathy. GLOBAL LEADERBOARDS Times and scores are compared worldwide. Beat a friend, beat a stranger, or watch someone on the other side of the planet quietly demonstrate that your personal best was not, in fact, very good. MAKE IT YOURS Unlock different looks and collect hats for your character. None of it makes you jump any better. All of it makes losing considerably more stylish. BUILT FOR SHORT SESSIONS Instant restarts, no loading screens between attempts and no energy system telling you to come back tomorrow. The game respects your time and then quietly takes several hours of it anyway. COMPLETELY FREE Pogo Planet costs nothing. No paywalls, no subscriptions, no advertising interrupting your run. If you want an extra boost you can choose to watch a rewarded video, and if you never touch that button the entire game is still open to you. FEATURES AT A GLANCE ⢠Local multiplayer on a single device ⢠Online multiplayer for up to eight players ⢠Level editor with instant testing ⢠Handcrafted campaign across multiple difficulty tiers ⢠Endless mode for quick runs ⢠Hardcore mode for the stubborn ⢠Global leaderboards ⢠Unlockable looks and hats ⢠One touch controls ⢠No paywalls and no forced advertising Good luck out there. Broadside Cove
Read full descriptionHide full description
Pirates have found the anchorage at Broadside Cove. You command the Kestrel, a Dutch fluyt, at dusk, and it falls to you to meet them at the mouth of the cove. Lay your broadsides Turn side-on to a ship, tap the water by her hull to lay the guns, then press Fire. A ring on the water marks your aim and a dotted arc traces the shot's path. The ring turns red when the guns cannot bear and grey while they reload. Port and starboard guns reload separately, so bring the loaded side round before you fire again. Round shot and chain shot Round shot holes hulls. Chain shot, two half-balls joined by a length of chain, reaches 480 metres and tears rigging. A ship with torn sails slows down, which is how you catch one that is running. Chain shot joins your guns in The Pay Chest. From then on the shot button, marked Round or Chain, switches between them. Read the wind Every mission has its own wind. Head to wind the Kestrel makes only a quarter of her speed; on a broad reach she is at her fastest. A wind arrow and the point of sail stay on screen, and the flags stream downwind. The campaign The Prologue and five Act I missions, played in order: - Shakedown Cruise: make sail, steer out through the channel marks, sink a moored hulk for gunnery practice, haul floating barrels aboard and see off a pirate sloop. - Colours in the Offing: beat two waves of raiders off the mouth of the cove. - The Pay Chest: catch the cutter carrying the garrison's pay before she reaches open sea. - Salt and Powder: recover 8 of the 12 powder barrels from a lost hoy within four and a half minutes, while cutters and a sloop attack. - The Merchantmen: meet the Company fluyts Margaretha and Swan outside the headland and see them up the channel to the jetty, while a brig that fires chain, a sloop and two cutters attack. At least one of the two must reach harbour. - The Black Tern: sink the pirate flagship, a taken frigate with red sails and seven guns a side. Below half her hull she loads chain and calls in two cutters. Each mission opens with a captain's log and ends with a debrief. Three bonus goals per mission, such as a time to beat, a share of the hull to keep or a share of shots to land, earn stars and extra prize money. Hold the Cove An endless mode, open from the start. Each wave brings more and heavier ships: cutters, sloops, brigs and, every fifth wave, the Black Tern. Carpenters patch the hull between waves. Your best wave is kept. Keep her afloat Hits can set a deck alight, and the rocks around the cove will hole the hull if you cut a corner. Sunk ships leave barrels floating; sail through them to patch the hull and mend the sails. Controls Port and Stbd steer. Sail + and Sail - set how much canvas she carries. Tap the sea to aim, and Fire lets go the broadside. Played in landscape. No ads, no account, offline There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no account to make.
