Where does your week actually go? Buckets holds the parts of your life that matter, work, movement, sleep, family, and gives each one a weekly intention: how much time you actually want to pour in. Then it helps you protect that time before the week gets noisy. HOW IT WORKS Bucket. One area of your life, with a weekly intention. Work. Movement. Sleep. Family. Study. Faith. Whatever yours are. Block. You protect time for a Bucket by placing a Block on your calendar, in advance. A promise made to yourself while the week is still quiet. Session. When the Block arrives you start a focus session, and the timer runs. Work, move, rest, read. The session just holds the time. Pour. When you finish you confirm what actually happened, and only then does it pour into the Bucket. A Pour is never recorded without you. That last part is the whole point. Buckets does not watch you, guess at you, or fill itself in behind your back. Your week is only as full as you say it is, which is what makes the number worth looking at. YOUR WEEK, IN ONE PLACE Vessels for each Bucket that fill as the week goes on A plan timeline where you drag a Bucket onto the day to protect time Your existing calendar shown alongside, so open space stays honest Widgets for today's plan, one Bucket's ring, and how the week is filling A Live Activity and Dynamic Island for the running session Morning and evening moments, a daily reflection, and a weekly close Shortcuts for starting and finishing a session by voice ON YOUR DEVICE, AND NOWHERE ELSE No account. No sign up. No server. Every Bucket, Block, Session and Pour lives in the app's own database on your phone. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is sold, nothing leaves the device unless you choose to connect your calendar or Health. FREE, AND PRO Free holds one Bucket, with the full day, sessions, reflections, and every Pour you ever confirm. Buckets Pro holds as many Buckets as your life has parts, plus repeating Blocks, calendar mirroring, workouts that arrive ready to pour from Health, and export of every confirmed Pour as plain readable JSON. Pull
Read full descriptionHide full description
Pull is a focus timer that closes your distracting apps until the session ends, and learns how long you can actually concentrate so you stop guessing at twenty-five minutes. It shows you that session as an espresso shot. Set your dose — the length you believe you can concentrate for — and pull. The shot renders live, and nothing on the screen is decorative. The stream thins and pales as the puck gives up. Crema builds on the surface and holds. Run far past your dose and the stream blondes to straw, because that is what over-extraction looks like. Stop short and it is sour. Pick up your phone and the puck channels. The stream splits, the crema tears, and the tear stays for the rest of the shot and afterwards, on your wall. If you have used a pomodoro timer, this is the same shape of thing with one difference that matters: the length is yours rather than a fixed twenty-five. MATCH YOUR DOSE TO YOUR REAL ATTENTION SPAN Twenty-five minutes came off a paperback in the 1980s. It is not your number. Pull watches your clean sessions and reads back the dose you can actually hold — and tells you honestly when your history is too scattered to call one yet. THE WALL Every shot you have ever pulled, kept. Day, week, month and year are one continuous object at four zooms: cups on lit shelves, in the colour they came out. A god shot lights its own rim. A dumped one lies on its side and stains the board, at the same size as a good one, permanently. AN INSTRUMENT, NOT AN ILLUSTRATION The extraction is drawn from live session state, sixty times a second. The pressure trace under the timer is the real curve. The gauge reads the real number. If the picture changes, something changed. BUILT TO BE TRUSTED · No account. No login. No sign-up wall. · No network. The app works in aeroplane mode, always. · No analytics SDK. No tracking. No ads, ever. · Your history is one file on your device and never leaves it. THE SHIELD Pull can hold the line for you. Arm the shield before a shot and nothing but Pull opens until the shot ends. It lifts itself the moment you cut, and it never outlives the session that armed it. ONE PURCHASE, FOREVER Not a subscription. Every dose is free, at any minute you like. Every origin, every machine part, the whole log, Live Activity, Dynamic Island — free. The shield is free too, and free it closes everything. One optional purchase buys precision: name the handful of apps you cannot be trusted with, and leave maps, music and the rest exactly where they are. The paid version blocks less, not more. Nothing that works today will ever move behind it. Requires iOS 17 or later.

Verdict
Buckets and Pull are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.

Both are free to download. Buckets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Pull sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
