The meter climbs, the handset buzzes, and the screen floods red when a reading spikes. SIGNAL AND WORD LOG Every session is recorded with timestamps, readings, and captured words, so you can scroll back through the night and argue about what actually happened. NIGHT MODE A dark, low-glare interface built for basements, attics, and 2 a.m. hallways. The red-light theme keeps your eyes adjusted to the dark. SESSION REPLAY Save each investigation, name the location, and share the results with whoever dared you to go in first. Spectra turns your phone into a ghost hunting instrument. Every number on screen comes from real hardware in your phone: the magnetometer, the microphone, the barometer, the camera, the accelerometer and gyroscope. It's all processed on the phone and explained in plain English. No random spikes. No theatrics dressed up as data. The measurements are honest. What they mean is your call. SLS OPTICS Point the camera at the room. On-device pose detection draws a glowing stick figure over anything shaped like a person, live, while your other readings stay on screen. It's strict on purpose: it won't outline a coat rack. Tap MARK to keep a frame with the figure burned in. EMF DETECTOR Your phone's compass chip reads the magnetic field around you. Spectra learns the room's normal level, then shows how far each reading climbs above it, in microtesla. Follow the needle toward the source. House wiring sits flat. A passing elevator swells and fades. A sharp climb that follows you around is the one worth writing down. EVP RECORDER A live spectrum shows everything the mic hears, from deep rumble to past the edge of hearing. When something sustained shows up outside the human speech band, below 85 Hz or above 4 kHz, with no voice underneath it, Spectra saves a clip and tags its peak frequency. Detection pauses while you're talking, so a capture can't just be you. ITC CHANNEL Spectra's take on the spirit box. On-device listening writes out what you say and, under your words, surfaces anything talking back. Ask a question, then give it a little quiet. PRESSURE, MOTION AND PRESENCE The barometer tracks air pressure against the room's normal. Doors and drafts jump in steps, weather drifts slowly. Motion sensors tell your footsteps apart from a knock near the phone. A presence level from 0 to 5 weighs every channel: EMF counts least, a voice reply counts most, and readings are discounted while you're walking around. A MAP OF HAUNTED PLACES Find reviewed haunted places across the US, read what people say happened there, and get directions. A person checks each one before it goes on the map. EVERY SESSION, SAVED Each investigation is logged automatically: timestamped contacts, the EMF trace, pressure trends, EVP captures and SLS frames. Go back through any session and play its clips. FIELD MANUAL Every readout has a plain-English page one tap away: what the sensor measures, what the numbers mean, and which boring explanations to rule out first. FREE VS FULL ACCESS Every sensor, EVP detection and capture, session recording, the map, and raw playback of every clip are free, no account needed. Full Access adds the processing: enhanced playback that pitch-shifts ultrasonic and infrasonic clips into hearing range, clip tuning, WAV export, the full SLS OPTICS mode, and custom accent colors. Full Access is available as an annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, a weekly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings. PRIVACY Your recordings, transcripts, camera frames and session history stay on your phone, and investigating works fully offline (the map needs a connection). No account, no ads. Spectra does use analytics and crash reporting, and measures which ads bring people in. Nothing from a session is ever part of that. Spectra is for entertainment. The sensor readings, spectrum, audio clips and pose detection are real device measurements. ============ Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
