GreenPlayer vs ddPlayer

Play local and NAS videos with audio, subtitles and speed controls. Connect your own media library and enjoy your videos with GreenPlayer. GreenPlayer is a video player for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Open local and iCloud Drive files or connect Jellyfin, Emby and NAS. Browse, continue watching and control playback in one app. No extra GreenPlayer account, ads or tracking. Download for free and try 20 playback sessions per device. Then unlock once for unlimited playback, with no subscription or automatic renewal. MULTIPLE VIDEO FORMATS Play common containers including MKV, MP4, MOV, AVI, TS, M2TS and WebM. Choose native or compatibility playback to suit your media and device. LOCAL FILES AND NAS Open files and authorize folders through the system picker. Access SMB, WebDAV and FTP sources. Files already stored on your device can play offline; remote servers and cloud files need an available network connection. YOUR OWN MEDIA LIBRARY Browse Jellyfin and Emby movies, series, details and episodes. Search your collection and continue watching. Media information comes from the server you connect. AUDIO, SUBTITLES AND SPEED Choose audio and subtitle tracks, adjust playback speed and picture size, and use common external subtitles and styling in compatibility playback. GESTURES AND MAC SHORTCUTS Swipe to seek and adjust brightness or volume. Double-tap to play or pause, and hold on either side to scan forward or backward. Mac users get keyboard shortcuts and trackpad controls. CAST ON YOUR LOCAL NETWORK Send Jellyfin or Emby media to compatible DLNA devices and control playback. The receiving device must be able to access your media server; support depends on that device. SETTINGS ACROSS YOUR DEVICES iCloud encrypts and syncs connection details, related credentials, preferences and production purchase summaries. Configuration sync is on by default and can be turned off. Video files and local viewing history are not synced through this feature. Protect private sources with device authentication. PLAYBACK TRIALS AND LIFETIME UNLOCK Each device includes 20 playback sessions. Lifetime Unlock is a one-time purchase with no subscription or automatic renewal. It covers the iPhone, iPad and Mac App Store versions. See the App Store for the current price. Restore with the same Apple purchase account on another device. Media content and third-party memberships are not included. GreenPlayer does not provide, host or sell media. Bring files and servers you own or are authorized to use. Playback and subtitle support depend on the device, system, media encoding and network.
