ADC Addiction Exam Prep Guide
Read full descriptionHide full description
Built for one exam only: the IC&RC Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) certification. Not a general counselling app with an addiction section bolted on. Every question, flashcard and lesson in here was written for the ADC exam and mapped to IC&RC's current four-domain outline. WHAT IS INSIDE 6,480 practice questions, each with a written rationale explaining why the right answer is right and why the others are not. 493 flashcards for active recall, sorted by domain. 176 concept reels: short tap-through slide stories for the heavy topics. 113 audio lessons you can play with the screen locked. 96 concept cards for deeper dives. 144 DSM-5-TR entries with searchable diagnostic criteria. 55 mnemonics, 43 glossary terms, 34 ethics scenarios. Exam tools including an AUDIT score calculator and an ASAM level of care reference. MAPPED TO THE REAL BLUEPRINT IC&RC retired the older seven-domain ADC outline. This app follows the current four performance domains and shows you the published weighting for each: Scientific Principles of Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders (25%) Evidence-Based Screening and Assessment (20%) Evidence-Based Treatment, Counseling and Referral (30%) Professional, Ethical and Legal Responsibilities (25%) 57 topics and 499 subtopics sit underneath those four domains, so you can drill a single weak area instead of grinding through everything. FULL MOCK EXAMS Timed mocks built to the published format: 150 questions, 180 minutes, 70% to pass. Sit it realistically, or switch to Study Mode and see the rationale after every answer. A COACH THAT TRACKS READINESS A 0 to 100 readiness score built from four weighted signals: mastery, accuracy, volume and consistency. It tells you which domain is costing you the most marks, counts down to the exam date you set, and keeps a mistake bank so wrong answers come back until you have mastered them. WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE Every question, rationale, flashcard and audio lesson is stored on your device. No signal needed on the train, in a basement classroom or at the test centre car park. No account required to study. SUBSCRIPTION Full access is available as an auto-renewing subscription: monthly, 3 months, 6 months or annual. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Fluency Refrain
Read full descriptionHide full description
Fluency Refrain is a pronunciation app built on one idea: you learn to say a phrase by saying it WITH the voice, not after it. Pick a language, add the phrases you actually want to say, and chorus them: speak in unison with a studio voice, again and again, until the phrase comes up to full speed. Then let review bring each phrase back right before you forget it. CHORUS, DON'T REPEAT Repeating after a recording leaves a gap where your own accent creeps back in. Chorusing closes that gap. You say the phrase at the same time as the voice, matching its rhythm, stress and melody, with a tap-to-adjust gap and tempo so you can start slow and speed up as it sticks. YOUR PHRASES, NOT A SYLLABUS Start from a short seed pack for your goal (first phrases, travel basics, hard-to-pronounce phrases, or expressions worth collecting) and then add anything you like: a line from a show, something a friend said, the sentence you fumbled yesterday. Every phrase gets a studio voice in the language and variety you chose. REVIEW THAT BRINGS PHRASES BACK Spaced review schedules each phrase for the moment it is about to fade. Say it, reveal it, hear it, grade yourself. Phrases you nail come back less often; phrases you miss come back sooner. IDIOMS, PROVERBS AND TONGUE-TWISTERS Checked packs of idioms, proverbs and tongue-twisters for French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Greek, with meanings and references, ready to chorus. More languages on the way. BUILT FOR POLYGLOTS Keep as many languages as you like. Pin up to three as your focus, and the app tells you which language needs you next. Transliteration for non-Latin scripts. Studio voices in 80+ languages and regional varieties. WORKS WITH FLUENCY STREAK Link Fluency Refrain to Fluency Streak and every chorus and review session counts toward your daily language streak automatically. WHAT TESTERS SAY "I found that chorusing revolutionized my ability to learn Korean. This app has revolutionized my ability to chorus. It is simple to use, has many uses, and permits the addition of all kinds of material. I love it!" โ Mindy Thompson Fullilove, MD, author of The Tao of K-drama (Oxford University Press) FREE AND PRO Free: unlimited languages, up to 20 phrases, full chorus and review. Refrain Pro removes the phrase limit. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage them in your App Store account settings.
