LatenSea

You are standing in a restaurant in Osaka and you cannot explain that shrimp will put you in hospital. You are at a massage clinic and cannot say which shoulder. You are holding a menu you cannot read. LatenSea is built for those minutes. SHOW SOMEONE A CARD (Japanese) Fill in a profile once and LatenSea builds cards you hold up: who you are and where you're from, your injuries and the places not to touch, what you can't eat, and an emergency card for medical staff. Every fact carries a picture — a crossed-out shrimp, a figure with your sore shoulder marked — so it lands before a word is read. 44 point-and-show phrases are built in and work with no signal and no account. Your profile never leaves your phone. It is not uploaded, not synced, and not stored on our servers. The cards are assembled on the device from a fixed, human-reviewed Japanese table, and every card shows you in English exactly what the Japanese says, so you can check it before you rely on it. TRANSLATE AND UNDERSTAND Type any phrase and get an instant translation with pronunciation and a word-by-word breakdown — every word glossed in English, with tap-to-hear audio on each line. Already translated something once? Running it again is free. READ THE WORLD AROUND YOU Point your camera at a menu, a sign, or a page. LatenSea reads it, translates it, and breaks it down — and you can save any word straight to your word bank, or save the whole sign to your history. PRACTICE SPEAKING Chat with an AI conversation partner in your target language, and choose exactly how replies appear: kanji, hiragana, katakana, romaji, or English. Use Live Translate to speak into your phone and hear it in the other language instantly, or Live Exchange for two-person conversations across languages. QUIZ AND DRILL Turn your word bank into quizzes — multiple choice, listening, or typed answers with romaji accepted — and into flashcard decks with pictures, readings and example sentences. Swipe to grade, track your score, and retry what you missed. LISTEN AND LEARN Generate guided audio lessons: hear a short story all the way through, then walk it back sentence by sentence with translations, grammar notes, and key vocabulary. Slow the speaker down to 75% or 50% while your ear catches up. BUILD YOUR LIBRARY Every word you save gets pronunciation and meaning, and can get an AI-generated picture. Tap any entry to analyze it word by word, hear it aloud, or add it to a flashcard deck and drill it later. Your library and decks stay available even when you're offline. SUBSCRIPTIONS LatenSea Pro (300 credits/month) and LatenSea Premium (1,200 credits/month) unlock larger allowances for translations, breakdowns, audio lessons and image generation. Subscriptions renew monthly and can be canceled anytime in your App Store account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. Your text is processed by AI to power translations and lessons, and you can delete your account and all your data anytime from inside the app. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Unit Conveyor
Read full descriptionHide full description
1 kg is 1000 g. 1 m is 100 cm. Unit Conveyor shows what happens to a number when the unit changes — so children see it, instead of memorising it. ■ The unit staircase Length, weight, volume and time units are laid out as steps. Send a crate up a step and the number gets smaller; send it down and it gets bigger. The crate travels between steps so the cause is visible. ■ The conversion line Four boxes come down the conveyor. Pick the one with the right answer. The wrong boxes are not random numbers. "Counted one zero too few", "multiplied instead of divided", "split an hour into 10" — each one is built from a mistake children actually make. So no box can be dismissed at a glance. Every question needs real thinking. ■ Shipping slips (word problems) "We used 2 m and 50 cm of ribbon. How many cm altogether?" Matching two different units before adding them is a separate skill, and it gets its own line. ■ Report Shows the percentage correct for each unit, so you can see which unit needs practice. ■ Safe to hand to a child ・Free. No in-app purchases and no subscriptions ・Ads appear only on the report screen, never while a question is on screen ・No full-screen ads and no video ads ・Results are stored on the device only, and are deleted with the app ・No camera, microphone, location, contacts or notifications Designed so a primary-school child can use it alone.
