YPA Control vs Wireless Mic

YPA Control is the companion app for compatible YPA audio hardware, including YPA MicLink. Connect your device to configure microphone inputs, monitor levels, manage hardware settings, save presets, view device information, and install signed firmware updates. On iPhone, YPA Control communicates with compatible hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy. Audio remains on the YPA hardware and is not transmitted over Bluetooth. Features: - Configure input gain and channel controls - Enable supported hardware options such as 5V Bias, high-pass filtering, monitoring, and loopback - View live device status and metering - Save and recall presets - Identify the connected product, hardware revision, firmware version, protocol version, and serial number - Install compatible signed firmware updates with recovery support

Wireless Mic is an audio recorder for long recordings with the microphone input iOS makes available. See the current input and run a short microphone check. Record with the screen locked. Review recordings on an interactive waveform, mark meaningful moments, trim, preview, and share audio copies. Choose recording quality, with optional location saving off by default. Works with the built-in microphone and audio inputs exposed by iOS, including compatible wired, Bluetooth, USB, and Lightning audio routes. Input availability and behavior depend on iOS and your connected hardware.
