Phonics

Phonics helps children aged 4 to 8 hear, count and play with the sounds of English β the skills every reader needs before, and while, learning to read. Built by a primary-school teacher for a real classroom, Phonics grows with your child: an invisible difficulty ratchet makes each game a little harder after a few successes and a little easier after a few misses, so nobody ever sees a "level" β they just keep playing. 14 GAMES β’ Vocabulary β find the right word β’ The Sounds β where do you hear the sound? β’ The Syllables β clap and count β’ Find the Syllable β which syllable is it hiding in? β’ Spelling Test β the Montessori way β’ Writing β build the word, letter by letter β’ The Rhymes, Odd One Out, The First Sound β’ The Syllable Train, Sound Memory, The Sound Hunt β’ Repeat After Me β record and listen to yourself β’ The Riddle MADE FOR NON-READERS Every instruction is spoken aloud. Every word has a picture. Children play on their own from the very first tap. TODAY'S CHALLENGE Each day, three games are picked for a short guided session β open to everyone, subscribed or not. FOR GROWN-UPS Several children can play on the same device, each with their own profile and stars. The Grown-Ups' Corner shows which words and sounds a child keeps missing. Progress stays on the device. PHONICS PLUS Vocabulary, The Sounds, The Syllables and today's challenge are free. Phonics Plus unlocks all 14 games for every child on the device, with Family Sharing and no ads β ever. β’ Monthly plan, or β’ Yearly plan with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or of the free trial). Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store settings. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://apperetif.com/phonics/privacy
Dino Kids Learn
Read full descriptionHide full description
Dino Kids is an all-in-one learning app for children from age 3: drawing, colouring, handwriting, Vietnamese phonics, maths, music, English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese β free, no ads, no in-app purchases. WHY IT IS FREE Dino Kids is what Digi Dinos Joint Stock Company gives back to the community, not a source of revenue. We want every family to have one more way to teach a child without weighing up the cost, and parents to have more time to play and learn beside them. No subscription, nothing to buy inside, no advertising and no third-party analytics β so no child's data is being sold either. Every lesson is open the first time a child taps it; Digi Dinos carries the cost. THE PARENT'S OWN VOICE β’ Record your voice for 1,878 sounds, syllables and words, for praise, and for stories sentence by sentence, so a child hears the voice of home. KOREAN β’ 40 Hangul letters: 14 basic and 5 double consonants, 10 basic and 11 compound vowels β’ Tap a letter to hear its name, then a word β "giyeok β¦ goyangi" (cat). Trace all 40, and count 1β20 CHINESE β’ 39 first characters: the numbers δΈ to ε and 29 easy ones such as δΊΊ, ε£, ζ₯, ζ, ε±±, ζ°΄ β’ Each with pinyin, a spoken reading and an example word. Trace in standard Chinese stroke order, and count 1β20 ENGLISH β’ ABC cards: hear the letter, then a word β "ay β¦ apple" β with an emoji for pre-readers β’ Counting 0β20 as numeral, dots and English word JAPANESE β’ 104 hiragana and 46 katakana to hear and trace in stroke order β’ JLPT vocabulary and grammar, N5βN1: 387 words, 81 patterns, translated examples VIETNAMESE β’ 29 letter cards, and Grade 1 phonics: 40 sounds, 6 tones, 145 rimes, 609 syllables, each step read aloud HANDWRITING β’ 354 characters with stroke order: Vietnamese and English letters, tone marks, digits, kana, Hangul and Chinese characters. Scored stroke by stroke DRAWING AND COLOURING β’ Line art across 16 themes, outlines thick and closed so colour stays in β’ Free drawing: pencil, brush, glitter pen, 34 stampable shapes β’ Dot-to-dot: any loop that closes fills itself; 100 guided puzzles β’ 12 or 36 colours, and paint-style mixing: blue + yellow make green β’ Finger, Apple Pencil or stylus, with palm rejection; 30 steps of undo MUSIC β PIANO FROM ZERO β’ 27 lessons in 6 stages, one octave at a time; a wrong key still sounds β’ Notes fall down the key they name and wait for the child β not a rhythm game β’ Tempo button (tortoise, hare, horse); 100 songs: 76 our own, 24 folk and classical tunes with origins named STORIES β’ 500 narrated folk tales in Vietnamese, Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese with pinyin; the line being read lights up MATHS AND PRE-SCHOOL β’ Number recognition, counting, comparing, sums within 10, shapes THINKING AND MEMORY β’ Mazes, join-the-numbers and flip cards with 193 flags: 100 levels each, growing with the child PLAYTIME β’ Lessons earn stickers (72 across 6 sets) and a ticket to one of seven games β’ A Dino companion hatches from an egg and grows with the stars, plus 40 badges PARENTAL CONTROLS β’ The parental area sits at the top of Settings, behind a multiplication gate β’ Choose the languages each child learns in their profile; Learn languages shows only those β’ Child profiles set up on one screen, each with its own app language, gallery and progress; a real photo as avatar stays on the device β’ Parents unlock lessons per child, set how many earn a ticket, and control the microphone β’ Reading practice is scored on device β the voice never leaves it, and is off by default β’ Delete your account in the app, at once Five app languages: Vietnamese, English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese. No account needed: open the app and every lesson works. An account only carries data between devices. Every touch target is sized for a 3-year-old's finger, and a child never scores zero stars β what is not yet done is an outline, not a red X. If it helps in your house, tell another family β that is how something built for the community reaches more children.
