ReSafe vs Quiet Meter
Price, ratings, monetisation and update history for both apps, side by side — with what reviewers say about each.
ReSafe

ReSafe looks after the parts of your digital life that scams actually reach: the sites you open, the texts you receive, and the accounts tied to your email, so you can browse, shop, and message without second-guessing every link. Scams do not look the way they used to. AI writes clean English, clones a bank's login page in minutes, and builds a message around details pulled from a real breach. The old advice - watch for typos, trust your gut - stops working when the bait is generated to order. It does more than raise alarms. ReSafe shows you where your details have already leaked, which accounts are still holding them, and what to do about each one. Whether it is a cloned login page, a breached password, or a text pretending to be your bank, ReSafe catches it early and tells you in plain English what to do next. What ReSafe Protects You From Phishing and malware sites, blocked before the page loads AI-generated scam sites and cloned login pages Scam and fraud texts from unknown senders, sorted into Junk Personalized scams built from details already leaked about you Passwords and personal details exposed in data breaches Forgotten accounts still holding your information Old and reused passwords that are still in service Included with ReSafe Premium (subscription required) Safe browsing that blocks known phishing sites across every app on your iPhone Message filtering that screens texts from unknown senders Data-leak monitoring for the email addresses and phone numbers you verify A map of the services your address has turned up at, and what each one holds Plain-English explanations of every alert, with the reason it matters A to-do list that ranks what to fix first An activity timeline of every breach and exposure we find for you Email support from the team that built it Why ReSafe ReSafe is built for how people actually get scammed, not for a lab benchmark. It works quietly in the background, speaks in sentences instead of scores, and hands you a next step every time. A convincing fake is still a fake. ReSafe checks where a page really lives and what a message is really asking for, so a scam does not get past it just because it was written well. Subscription Using ReSafe requires a ReSafe Premium subscription: full protection for one person, on iPhone, billed monthly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account settings. Need Help? Quiet Meter
Read full descriptionHide full description
Quiet Meter shows you how loud it is. You buy it once, for $4.99, and that is the end of the transaction. There is no subscription, no account and no analytics. The app is free to use, with an occasional full-screen ad that never appears while the meter is running, and one $4.99 payment removes the ads for good. HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY An iPhone microphone is designed for speech, not measurement. It applies automatic gain, compresses very loud sounds and rolls off deep bass. Quiet Meter converts the microphone level into an estimated dB SPL. It is an estimate, not a measurement. Nothing in this app is suitable for an official, workplace or legal purpose, and it makes no claims about hearing or health. CALIBRATION THAT STICKS A common complaint about decibel apps is that they read 28 dB in a silent room. Quiet Meter lets you fix that: set a calibration offset from -20 to +20 dB against a meter you trust, in half-decibel steps, and it stays set. The whole session (minimum, average and maximum) is corrected together. WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE, FOREVER • A live reading in large numerals you can read across a room • Minimum, average and maximum for the session • A rolling 45-second chart, colored by level • The full calibration screen, with a live reading to calibrate against • A reference table: library 40 dB, conversation 60, traffic 80, concert 110 • Your three most recent saved sessions, with notes and plain-text sharing • Dark mode, large tap targets, and full VoiceOver labeling QUIET METER PRO, $4.99 ONCE • No ads, permanently • Your complete session history, however many you save • Sessions you saved before buying reappear. Nothing was ever deleted • Share a session with the full reading-by-reading data, for a spreadsheet The microphone is requested only when you tap Start, and only ever used to read the level as the sound arrives. No audio is recorded for playback, saved, or sent anywhere. ABOUT THE ADS The free app shows a full-screen ad from Google AdMob at natural moments only: after you save a measurement, or after you share one. Never while the meter is running, never while the microphone is on, and never in your first sessions. The ads are non-personalized. Quiet Meter does not ask to track you and never sends your measurements, notes or audio anywhere. WHAT QUIET METER DOES NOT DO No analytics. No tracking. No account. No cloud sync. No subscription. No health advice. It will ask you to rate it once, after your fifth saved session, and never again. Your sessions live only on this iPhone, so deleting the app deletes them. Share one as text first if you want to keep a copy.

Verdict
ReSafe and Quiet Meter are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ReSafe sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month and Quiet Meter sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
