Working Memory Lab

Working memory is the ability to hold something in your head and use it a moment later. Keeping a shopping list in mind. Taking notes while the teacher is still talking. Doing sums without paper. It quietly sits underneath almost everything we get done in a day. Working Memory Lab trains that ability with nine mini games. One to two minutes a round, for kids and grown-ups alike. NINE MINI GAMES - Reverse Recall โ colours appear one by one; tap them back in reverse. Rearranging in your head. - Match Back โ tap when a picture matches the one a few steps back. Taking in the new while letting go of the old (an n-back task). - Cup Shuffle โ follow the swapping cups and find the ball. - Dual Task โ solve a sum, then memorise a picture, over and over. The real thing: holding on while busy. - Copy the Order โ tap the animals in the order they appeared. - Take the Order โ remember what each table ordered. Some come alone, some as a family. - Number Flash โ numbers flash by; add them all up in your head. - Math Relay โ "plus 3", "times 2" โ keep the running total going. - Grid Memory โ remember which squares lit up, wait while the board goes dark, then tap them. BUILT TO KEEP YOU COMING BACK - Six levels, from Easy to Legend - Score grows with speed and with answers in a row - 24 badges and six ranks to climb - A daily play streak - Memory span โ see, as a number, how much you can reliably hold - The app spots your weakest game and suggests practice SAFE FOR CHILDREN - No account. Everything stays on the device. - No ads. No in-app purchases. - Works fully offline. - Large type, clear colours, spoken prompts. - A short how-to appears before you play a game for the first time. FOUR LANGUAGES English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish โ text and voice both. Switch any time from Settings. A little every day. That is how memory grows.
Reflex

Reflex is a reaction trainer. Tap to arm, wait for green, hit it. Then see how your thumb compares with the fastest it has ever been. NINE DRILLS, EACH WITH ITS OWN TOP TEN โข Reaction โ hit green as fast as you can. One reaction, in milliseconds. โข Go / No-Go โ tap green, hold still on red. A tap on red ends the run. โข Precision stop โ a 3-2-1 count, then stop the clock on exactly 1.000 s. The digits hide after 0.3 s. โข Aim trainer โ twenty targets, one at a time, anywhere on the screen. โข Choice reaction โ two pads go amber, one turns green. Tap that one. โข Tap speed โ as many taps as you can in five seconds. โข Sequence memory โ nine tiles light up in a growing, quickening sequence. Repeat it. โข Math sprint โ ten quick sums, four answers each. Pick +, โ, ร, รท or a mix. โข Number hunt โ a 6ร6 grid of numbers. Tap them by the rule: up, down, evens or odds. IT TALKS BACK Miss your personal best and the app has opinions. Mostly ragebait, occasionally encouragement, and it gets sharper the longer the cold streak runs. False starts, taps on red and wrong pads get their own lines. Mute it in Settings if you would rather suffer in silence. EVERY BEST, KEPT The ten best runs of every drill stay on your phone, with podium medals, the top-ten average and a Bests tab you can filter by drill and mode. Each drill knows whether lower or higher is better, so records work for times and counts alike. BRAG WITH ONE TAP Any run becomes a score card in the app's own style, painted in whatever theme you are using and tagged with your username, ready for the share sheet. OFFLINE BY DESIGN No accounts, no network, no leaderboard, no ads, no tracking. Your scores never leave the phone. ALSO IN THE BOX โข Light and dark themes that follow your system setting, with a manual override. โข Haptics on arm, hit, new record and false start. โข A daily brain-boost tip on the home screen: sleep, hydration, posture, timing. โข A drill of the day and a jump-back-in card for the last drill you played. โข A thirty-second tour the first time you open it. Thirty seconds to learn, a lifetime to master. Hit green.
