Block Heist
Read full descriptionHide full description
The vault is packed. The roof is crawling with cops. You have one move at a time. Block Heist is two puzzle games stacked into one heist. First you crack the board — slide every block out through its matching color gate. Then you take the diamond to the rooftops, where the police move every time you do. THE BOARD It looks solvable. It usually isn't, not the way you first see it. Every block wears a color, and every color has one gate. Drag a block to its gate and it's gone. Drag the wrong one first and you've walled in the three behind it. There's no undo button that saves a bad plan — there's only looking again. Board after board, every one built by hand, one solution each. THE ROOFTOPS You've got the diamond. Now get off the roof. Move one tile. Every officer moves one tile. They come from both directions, they cut off the obvious route, and they get better at reading you as you go. The exit glows at the far edge like it's mocking you. Turn-based escapes where the difference between free and cuffed is one wasted step. WHAT GETS IN YOUR WAY - Color gates, star gates and gate doors that only open on cue - Keys and locks — find the key or the board stays shut - Frozen blocks that need two passes, layered stacks that hide what's under them - One-way slides that only go where they want to go - Bombs, ropes and scissors that rewrite the board mid-move - Chained blocks that must leave together or not at all - Police that learn WHAT DOESN'T - No randomly generated filler. Every level was designed, and every level has a way out. - No move timer. Sit and stare at it for ten minutes. The board will wait. - No Wi-Fi required. Play it underground, on a plane, anywhere. - One thumb, one hand, portrait. Made for the commute. Five seconds to understand. Weeks to finish. Slide the blocks. Take the diamond. Get off the roof.
