About

Waveguide Flute

Features

Waveguide Flute turns your iPad or iPhone into a physically modeled wind instrument — a Cook/STK-style waveguide flute you play from an on-screen piano roll or a MIDI wind controller (EWI). FEATURES • Authentic waveguide physical modeling — not a sample library • Deep Sound page: shape jet ratio, reflection, loop damping, noise, and more • Expression controls for live performance: blow intensity, breathiness, pitch bend, auto-vibrato • Built-in reverb with 7 factory spaces • On-screen piano roll with velocity and breath control • Full MIDI support — notes, breath (CC#2), pitch bend • Compatible with Akai EWI and other MIDI wind controllers that send breath and pitch bend • Remembers your last settings, with one-tap reset to defaults • Bluetooth MIDI support, plus a configurable Breath Control input (Mod Wheel or custom CC) for keyboard players without a wind controller Play it like a real wind instrument: breathe into the sound, bend pitch, add vibrato — all rendered by a genuine physical model, not recordings.

Import a mix or video, choose the sound you want, compare the result, and export your finished file. TRY YOUR OWN SOUND FREE Master previews of up to 30 seconds with the same mastering quality and sound choices as the full version. Choose the section you want to hear. One permanent in-app purchase unlocks full-length listening and all audio and video exports. No subscription or per-track fees. FEWER DECISIONS. YOUR SOUND. Start with the defaults, or adjust genre, character and loudness, from Soft to Loud. Pick one of 27 Smart References or import your own reference track. Hear the actual original and mastered levels, or turn on Match loudness for a fair comparison at matched listening volume. MUSIC AND VIDEO Finish a song, a performance video or a spoken recording. Video imports offer video export with finished sound and the original picture. Import videos from Files or Photos. For spoken content, choose the Speech preset. Save finished videos directly to Photos or share them to Files and other apps. EXPORT WITH CONTROL Unlock WAV at 24 or 16 bits, MP3 at 320 kbps, and MOV video with finished audio. Use Soren's -0.8 dBTP peak ceiling or choose -1.0 dBTP. Video exports use a 24-bit PCM soundtrack, so files can be larger than the original compressed video. PRIVATE PROCESSING Audio processing happens on your device. No audio uploads, Soren account or cloud processing service. Apple handles in-app purchases. Supports files up to six minutes. Audio: mono/stereo WAV, AIFF, M4A and MP3 at 32-96 kHz. Video: supported MOV/MP4 files with a single mono/stereo soundtrack. Keep Soren open while it processes or exports. The mobile unlock is separate from desktop Soren. Requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later.
