Twenty-seven classic card, board and puzzle games. Played by the rules you actually use. Everything runs on your device. No internet connection, no account to create, no advertisements, and nothing about you is collected or sent anywhere. FREE, FOREVER • Klondike — classic solitaire. Draw one or draw three. • Hearts — avoid the tricks that count, or shoot the moon. • Checkers — American and international rules. Forced captures optional. • Number Place — the nine-by-nine number puzzle, under the name it first appeared with, in an American puzzle magazine in 1979. Five difficulties, every puzzle with one solution. THE FULL CATALOG Solitaire: Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, TriPeaks, Pyramid, Golf, Mahjong Solitaire Card games: Hearts, Spades, Oh Hell!, Gin Rummy, Hand and Foot, Canasta, Pinochle, Bridge, Cribbage, Euchre, Sheepshead Board games: Checkers, Backgammon, Chess, Dominoes, Mexican Train, Texas 42, Mahjong (Hong Kong rules) Puzzles: Number Place, Minesweeper PLAYED THE WAY YOUR FAMILY PLAYS IT Card games carry the house rules people actually argue about. Hearts can pass in the usual rotation or not at all, and the Jack of Diamonds can count nothing or minus ten. Canasta plays to 5000 or 2500, with one canasta to go out or two. Cribbage can count a four-card flush in the crib or refuse it, as the strict rule does. Hand and Foot sets its own pack count, how much of the pile you may take, and what it takes to go out. Dominoes can be played the Cuban, Brazilian or Jamaican way, as well as the classic partnership game. Set the table once and it stays set. RULES WORTH READING Every game explains itself, in plain language, from the board — what a trick is, what you are trying to do, and what the words mean. You do not need to have played before. FOUR LEVELS OF OPPONENT Easy plays like a beginner — it really is easy. Expert counts what has been played, watches the ranks you are collecting, and will not hand you the card you are waiting for. Every level is described in plain language before you start, so you know what you are sitting down against. BUILT TO BE READ Large, clear cards and real card faces. Portrait or landscape, whichever you prefer. Laid out properly on iPad rather than stretched. NO ADVERTISEMENTS. NO TRACKING. NO INTERNET REQUIRED. Fireside collects no data of any kind — there is no analytics, no advertising network and no sign-in. It works exactly the same on a plane as it does at home. UNLOCKING THE REST The four free games stay free, with no time limit and every difficulty included. The remaining twenty-three come with a subscription, monthly or yearly, and the first month is free for new subscribers. If you would rather not subscribe at all, a one-time purchase unlocks the same games for good. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed or canceled in your Apple Account settings. The one-time unlock does not renew and there is nothing to cancel. You roll when you're ready; the dice are generated on the server. The system works the same way for everyone. THE DICE ARE YOUR LUCK The dice are completely random — your rating or any other variable has no effect on the outcome. You choose the moment you roll, and that's your luck in the game. LEARN WITH THE BOT If you want to warm up, you can play against the bot anytime. REAL OPPONENTS Every rated game is played against a real player; your rating updates the moment it ends. A RATING THAT SHOWS THE TRUTH Your skill is measured with Glicko-2, the algorithm used by game platforms worldwide. Your rating settles after about 50 games; the rankings highlight players who are active now, not those who played years ago and left. WHO GOES FIRST The server picks the starting player at random. If you roll first, you earn slightly less rating at the end of the game. TRADITIONAL RULES You play the classic backgammon you know: Turkish street-style rules, no doubling cube. If your opponent hasn't borne off a single checker, it's a gammon and counts as 2 games. SPECIAL RULES Leaving a live game ruins it, so your matchmaking wait gets longer for the next game. REGISTER YOUR GUEST ACCOUNT A guest account saves your rating. Register whenever you want and play with the same account on your other devices. RUNS ON OLD PHONES TOO Smooth even on old phones and slow internet. Playable in 20+ languages. Questions and suggestions: contact@kutuama.com
