Send announcements to the Sonos speakers in your house – in your own voice. Pick the speakers you want, hold the button down while you talk, and let go. The announcement plays right away. While the announcement plays, the music is turned down, and afterwards it comes back up. The announcement itself plays at the volume the speaker is already set to. NO ACCOUNT. NO CLOUD. NO SUBSCRIPTION. The app talks directly to the speakers on your own network. The sound is recorded on the phone, and the speaker fetches it from there. Your voice never leaves the house. An announcement can be up to five minutes long. FROM YOUR WRIST With Apple Watch you can record an announcement straight from your wrist. The watch passes it on through your iPhone. SHORTCUTS Type a text in Shortcuts, and the phone reads it aloud on your speakers. It is read aloud in the language the app is set to. Use it in automations, for example when dinner is ready or when someone rings the doorbell. You can also have the most recent announcement repeated. AWAY FROM HOME With a Homey Pro you can send announcements home even when you are out. This requires the Sonnounce app to be installed on your Homey as well. If you have a VPN to your home, you can also send announcements that way. SAVE THE ANNOUNCEMENTS With a Homey you can save every announcement sent in the house. They are kept on your own Homey at home – not in the cloud – and you can download them to your iPhone. Requires Sonos speakers on the same Wi-Fi as the phone.
Sannounce

Sannounce turns your Sonos speakers into a home intercom. Record a quick message on your iPhone or iPad and broadcast it to one room, a few rooms or the whole house. HOLD, TALK, LET GO Hold the mic while you talk and let go to announce, just like a walkie-talkie. Prefer tapping? Switch to tap to talk, or record first and listen before you send. THE MUSIC KEEPS PLAYING On Sonos speakers that support it, the music ducks while your message plays and comes back by itself. Older speakers are paused and restored to what they were playing. NO VOICE ASSISTANT NEEDED Your voice is recorded on your iPhone or iPad, so the speakers don't need a microphone or voice assistant of their own. SAVED ANNOUNCEMENTS Save the ones you use every day ("Dinner's ready!", "Time for school!") and play them again with one tap. Sannounce suggests a name by transcribing your recording on the device. CLEAR VOICE, FUN SOUNDS Music and other background sound are taken out of your recording, so only your voice comes through. A short bird call plays first so everyone knows to listen, and voice effects turn you into a squeaky chipmunk or a deep, booming voice. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Sannounce talks to your speakers directly over your Wi-Fi. No account, no cloud, no server, no tracking. Your voice never leaves your home network. GOOGLE CAST AND APPLE WATCH Sannounce also plays on Google Cast speakers and Chromecast. On those, what's playing stops for the announcement, and the app tells you what stopped. With the Apple Watch app, you talk into your watch and your iPhone plays it on the speakers you picked. REQUIREMENTS • Sonos or Google Cast speakers on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad • Local Network and microphone access Sannounce is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sonos, Inc. or Google LLC. Sonos is a trademark of Sonos, Inc. Google Cast and Chromecast are trademarks of Google LLC.
