Jars

Save for the trip, the emergency fund, next year's taxes. Give every goal its own jar, add money in a few taps, and watch the jar fill up. Jars keeps score — it never holds or moves your money. No ads. No account. Nothing to sign up for. ONE JAR PER GOAL • Name a jar, pick an icon and a color, set a target and a deadline. Start from a template for an emergency fund, travel, taxes, a car, a gift, a home. • Home shows every jar filling up, what is still to go, and whether you are on track. • Deposit, withdraw, or move money between two jars. Every entry keeps a date and a note you can edit later, and anything you just did can be undone. • Counted wrong? Type the balance you actually have and Jars records the difference. • Keep each jar in its own currency, add a cover photo, and note where the money really sits — cash box, savings account, wherever. • Group jars that belong together, reorder them, leave one out of your totals, lock a jar until a date, or archive it with its history intact. • When a yearly jar is done, start the next cycle and keep everything you saved last time. SINKING FUNDS WITH A PLAN • Set a target and a date. Jars works out how much to set aside each week or month, and tells you which month you will get there at the pace you are actually saving. • Savings plans remind you on payday. Tap "Logged it" on the notification and the deposit is recorded — no need to open the app. • Missed a week? Jars shows it and lets you catch up, snooze it, or skip it. It never invents money you did not save. • Split one payday across several jars at once — evenly, by what each jar still needs, or in the order you choose. • See the month at a glance: the days you saved, the periods you have paid, and what every jar needs before the month is out. SAVINGS CHALLENGES • 52-week, 26-week, 100 envelopes, the penny challenge, or a schedule you build yourself. • Tick off weeks in any order. The board keeps track of what is left. WHERE YOU STAND • Overview: everything saved so far, deposits minus withdrawals this month, how many jars are on track, and how your balance grew over time. • Every deposit and withdrawal in one list, with search and filters by jar and by kind. • Reach a quarter, half, three quarters, or the whole target and Jars says so. Share a progress card if you feel like it. WIDGETS AND SIRI • Home Screen widgets for one jar, three jars, or six. • A Lock Screen jar with the progress at a glance. • Log the planned deposit straight from the widget, or ask Siri to add to a jar or read out a balance. YOUR DATA, YOUR FILES • Your jars and the amounts in them stay on this phone — they only leave when you send them somewhere: a backup to your iCloud Drive, or a file you export. No account, no sign-in, and it all works offline. • Automatic backups to your own iCloud Drive, and you can export the lot as a ZIP whenever you want. Transactions export as CSV for a spreadsheet. • Lock Jars behind Face ID or your passcode, and hide every amount until you tap it.
