Freetown Dice
Read full descriptionHide full description
Freetown Dice is backgammon the way it used to be played in the Freetown: on worn wooden tables, with a coffee going cold, a friend across the board and the whole afternoon ahead. For years those tables were full. People came for one game and stayed for the talk, the teasing and the rematches that went on until evening. Those days are gone, and we miss them more than we can say. This game is our attempt to bring a little of that feeling back. It is not the same, nothing could be, but we hope it reminds you of those afternoons. And if you never sat at those tables, we hope it lets you feel why so many of us still think about them. WHAT YOU GET โข Classic backgammon against the computer, with the real rules โข A wooden table with checkers, dice and a cup of coffee โข Opponents with their own faces โข A coin for every game you win, to spend on drinks, food, lighters and ashtrays for your side of the table โข Stickers that you earn by winning, not by paying โข Three moods for the sound of the place: morning, afternoon and evening โข Relaxed games you can put down and pick up again Free to play, with an advert between games now and then. A one-time purchase removes the adverts for good. For everyone who ever shook the dice and said "one more game".

A 7 cm jelly lives on a warm wooden tabletop. It has no errands, no scoreboard, and no interest in standing still. Wander over to the swing. Try the trampoline. Pull the jelly by the crown and let go to watch the wobble travel through it. Tuck it into bed when the light turns to evening. Hold the talk button and ask for things โ "let's swing", "put on a hat", "lights off" โ and it toddles off to do them, answering in a word or two. Every jelly is its own colour. Yours is yours alone. - Real soft-body physics, rendered with refraction and caustics - Hold-to-talk voice companion (words are recognised on your device) - Haptics that follow every landing - Capture photos and clips and share them - A lock-screen widget where your jelly naps at night - Shared tables: see friends' jellies wobble beside yours - Privacy policy: https://jelly-api.xiachat.com/privacy - Support: https://jelly-api.xiachat.com/support

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Wobblet at none against Freetown Dice's 4. Wobblet also leads on ads (none vs shown). Freetown Dice's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price there is nothing between them.
