Fumenru
Read full descriptionHide full description
Snap a photo of sheet music and hear it play. Fumenru reads the notes on printed sheet music with AI and plays them back on the spot. Even if you can't read music yet, you can hear how a piece is supposed to sound. SNAP IT, HEAR IT Point your camera at a score and press the shutter. The notes become sound in under a minute. The camera finds the corners of the page and straightens it, and "Set page area" lets you frame just the page you want when the facing page or background gets in. Longer pieces can be imported up to 10 pages at a time. For two-piano scores, just pick which piano to read. NOTES THAT FALL ONTO THE KEYS Notes fall onto a full 88-key keyboard, so you can see which key to press and when — without reading a staff. PLAYS THE MARKINGS Staccato, tenuto, accents, arpeggios, fermatas and more change how the notes sound. RIGHT HAND ONLY, LEFT HAND ONLY Play one hand at a time. Repeat the harder hand until it sticks. START SLOW Play at the tempo printed on the score, then slow it down to a speed you can manage. Pick a first and last measure to loop a difficult passage. Turn on the metronome and count-in, and lower the piano volume to play along with the click. MAKE IT EASIER TO PLAY Transpose by semitones and show note names on the notes. Transposition is remembered for each score. FIX WHAT IT MISREAD Recognized music is shown on a staff. Tap any note to correct its pitch or length — rests, time signatures, key signatures, repeat signs and markings too. Notes the reader was unsure about, and measures whose beats don't add up, are shaded so you know where to look first. FINGERINGS, ONLY WHERE PRINTED Fingerings printed on the score appear next to the notes. We never invent fingerings that aren't written. YOUR LIBRARY STAYS Scanned scores are saved to your account, so they open on any device you sign in to. Organize them into folders — for a recital, for lessons, or however you like. KEEP IT UP, EVERY DAY Home brings together your practice streak, My library and favorite scores, and it follows light and dark mode. The first time you open the app each day, you'll see your login streak and this week's stamps. Your streak, practice (playback) time and a calendar of the days you opened the app or practiced show how far you've come. Each score also shows how many times you've practiced it. Collect 18 badges for streaks, scanning and practice. PUBLIC SCORES Find and play scores that other people have made public, by title or genre. Tap the heart to collect them under favorite scores on Home. You can also publish your own scores, free or with a price in tokens. Choose the nickname shown on them from the User page. Please don't publish music you don't have the rights to, and report anything that shouldn't be there. MIDI KEYBOARD INPUT AND RECORDING Connect a MIDI keyboard to enter the notes you play in the editor. Record by playing, and your notes are written out from how long you held each key. EXPORT TO PDF Export a score as a staff-notation PDF (100 tokens). Exported PDFs stay on your device so you can share or delete them later. ORGANIZE WITH TAGS Tag your scores and filter the list by tag. WHO IT'S FOR - Piano students, and adults picking it up again - Choir and band members learning a single part - Anyone with a score but no recording GOOD TO KNOW - You can start without an account: sample and blank scores work without signing in. Scanning sheet music, publishing and buying scores need a free account. - Scanning uses tokens (10 per page). Verified accounts get 20 free tokens every day (until the free balance reaches 100), and more can be purchased in the app. Paid scores and PDF export use tokens too. - Photos are used only for recognition and are not kept on your device. - Please only scan music you own or have permission to use. Turn a sheet-music PDF, photo, or scan into an editable digital score. Drop in a MIDI file and get sheet music the other way round. Recognition runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and results export as MusicXML, MIDI, and PDF. ■ Free · Score recognition — the first page of a PDF, photo, or camera scan, shown on screen to check and edit · MIDI → score — MIDI files exported from a DAW become sheet music, with no bar limit · Editing — select notes, move them up or down, fix accidentals, listen · Add and delete notes, change durations, swap rests and notes, set repeats and 1st/2nd endings by hand · Playback — hear the recognised score right away ■ Pro (one-time lifetime purchase, not a subscription) · Recognise every page of a document · Export — MusicXML (opens in MuseScore, Sibelius, Finale and others), MIDI, PDF ■ What it reads · Lead sheets and single-line melodies with chord symbols · Piano grand staff · SATB choir systems · Drum notation · Key and time signatures, ties, slurs, triplets, chord symbols · Repeat barlines (1st/2nd endings are only partly read — treat them as a guide; missed endings can be entered by hand in the editor. D.C. and coda are not read) ■ About accuracy — please read before buying Measured against scores with known answers (our own tests, September 2026). · Clean printed lead sheets: notes (pitch and duration) 90-99%. Dense sixteenth-note songs around 80% · SATB choir: about 93% · Piano: simple pieces 95%+, complex pieces around 80% — treat as a guide · Drums: hi-hat and snare nearly exact; kick drum misses about half the hits in busy bars — treat as a guide · Ties about 87%, slurs about 60% · Photos: straight, well-lit photos match PDF results; tilted or blurry photos drop sharply · Handwritten and tablature scores are not supported · MIDI → score: quantised MIDI is exact. Piano with up to two voices is accurate; three or more voices and performed (unquantised) MIDI are a guide only Automatic recognition is a first draft. The app is built for checking and correcting in the editor, and it removes most of the time you would spend entering notes by hand. Try your own scores in the free tier before you decide. ■ No internet needed Recognition, editing, and export all happen on your device. Score images are never uploaded. No account, no ads. ■ Copyright Convert only scores you own the rights to, public-domain scores, or scores you have permission to use. The app is made for personal study and practice and has no sharing or upload features. ■ Made for · Players and arrangers moving paper scores into editable files · Producers turning lead sheets into MIDI for a DAW · Choir directors and singers making part-practice audio · Composers tidying MIDI sketches into notation
