The Compass Effect is the companion app for Rhiannon “Nikki” McFarling’s book The Compass Effect — grown from her motivational speaking and community work as founder of Birthday Fundraiser Inc. (Positive Difference Organization). Built for readers walking that path: following your compass to your True North. Open Today for a daily compass point — a quote, principle, and real-world task drawn from the book. Save a short response and revisit it in History. Explore Activities on a winding path map through the book’s chapters and levels. Units unlock over time so you move at a steady pace. Each unlocked node opens chapter activities: word searches, crosswords, and mazes written for that unit. Go deeper with Research notes and Journal prompts. Share the app with someone on the same journey. A guided personal-growth companion tied to Nikki’s chapters — not a generic tip calculator or chore chart. Includes a 14-day free trial. After the trial, unlock Today, History, Activities, and Research forever with a one-time $9.99 Lifetime Unlock (not a subscription). Journal, Share, and More stay free.
Gauḍīya Library Offline
Read full descriptionHide full description
Gauḍīya Library Offline is a comprehensive repository of transcendental literature by Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Mahārāja, arranged for the convenient reading and continued study of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava books and discourses on iPhone and iPad. Within this collection are preserved works including Jaiva-Dharma, Bhagavad-gītā, Ācārya Keśarī, Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu-bindu, Bhajana-rahasya, Brahma-saṁhitā, Gopī-gīta, Harināma-mahā-mantra, Upadeśāmṛta, Venu-gīta, Vraja-maṇḍala-parikramā, The Butter Thief and Walking with a Saint, together with many other works concerning Śrī Kṛṣṇa, devotional service and Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava teachings. The application has been deliberately divested of needless mundane embellishment and superfluous apparatus. Its arrangement has been made subordinate to the principal business of attentive reading, so that the reader may approach the literature without the incessant interruptions and distractions commonly attendant upon modern applications. Among its facilities are: • Horizontal progression by means of the natural swiping of successive pages • Vertical perusal of more extensive passages, commentaries and explanations • The complete library preserved for use without dependence upon an Internet connection • Search throughout the assembled books and discourses • Favourites for subsequent recollection and reference • Automatic remembrance of the precise place at which one’s previous reading was suspended • Image plates and illustrations presented alongside their relevant literary descriptions • Careful typographical disposition of Sanskrit, transliteration, translations and explanations according to their respective character • Proper accommodation of the reading arrangement to both iPhone and iPad • No account, registration, subscription or sign-in requisite for admission to the library The literary contents are retained directly upon the device. The reader is therefore not obliged to depend upon the uncertain availability of an external connection before approaching the books; the collection remains ever at hand for reading, reference, recollection and deliberate study. Particular attention has been bestowed upon the disposition of the texts themselves. Sanskrit and transliterated passages are presented distinctly, while translations and explanations retain their appropriate arrangement. Lengthy expositions may be traversed without disturbing the natural succession of the reading. The method of use is purposely uncomplicated. One may enter a book, proceed through its pages by a simple movement of the hand, examine its image plates where available, and upon returning at another time be restored to the place where the former reading had concluded. Gauḍīya Library Offline has thus been conceived not as an accumulation of miscellaneous digital conveniences, but as a portable treasury of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava literature: a means whereby these writings and discourses may remain continually accessible for attentive reading, thoughtful reference and serious cultivation of transcendental knowledge.
