ShiftSlip is the notebook you fill in when the shift ends. Hours. Cash tips. Charge tips. What you tipped out. Four numbers, one screen, about fifteen seconds - and ShiftSlip tells you what that shift really paid you per hour once the tip-out came off. WHAT IT ANSWERS β’ What did that shift actually pay me, per hour, after the tip-out? β’ Is Tuesday lunch worth picking up, or worth trading away? β’ What did this pay period come to, and does it match my paycheque? β’ Where is the record my employer and my tax preparer are going to ask for? THE TIP-OUT, DONE PROPERLY Set a rule per job - a percentage of tips, a percentage of sales, a flat amount, or a figure you type - and split it across the bar, the bussers, the host and the runners by name. ShiftSlip resolves it, shows every share, and never quietly rounds a cent away. THE DAILY TIP RECORD IRS Publication 531 tells tipped employees to write down, every workday: cash tips, charge tips, the value of noncash tips, and the tips they paid out - and to give the month's report to their employer by the 10th of the next month. ShiftSlip keeps exactly those fields, day by day, with your employer and business name on it and the monthly total at the foot. It also keeps voluntary tips and service charges or auto-gratuities in two separate columns, because they are not the same thing. ShiftSlip produces records and does arithmetic on them. It is not tax advice, and it does not calculate tax, deductions or refunds. EXPORT IS FREE. ALWAYS. CSV for a spreadsheet, printable PDF for a person, any date range, straight to the share sheet. It is free and behind no purchase - and with no cloud in this version, it is also how you keep a copy. EVERYTHING ELSE IS FREE TOO β’ Effective hourly, tips per hour and tip percentage on every shift β’ Weekly, pay-period and monthly totals - weekly, biweekly, semimonthly or monthly cycles β’ Charts by week, by day of week and by job β’ Several jobs, for doubles and second jobs, each with its own rate, cycle and rules β’ An optional check against a minimum wage you enter yourself, so you can see a period worth asking about β’ A photo of the paper closeout slip attached to the shift, if you want one No feature is locked. No subscription. No trial. WORKS IN THE BACK OF HOUSE Your jobs, shifts, tips, tip-outs and reports are stored only on this iPhone. There is no account, no email sign-up, no cloud and no server, so it works with no signal at 1am and there is nothing to sync, sell or breach. FREE, WITH ADS - AND A WAY OUT ShiftSlip is free and supported by Google AdMob. A banner sits at the bottom of the dashboard, history, reports and jobs screens, and a single full-screen ad can appear on the summary after a shift has already been saved. No ad ever appears while you are entering a shift, splitting a tip-out, reading the daily tip record or exporting. One optional purchase removes all advertising forever, and unlocks nothing, because nothing else is locked. GOOD TO KNOW β’ iPhone, iOS 17 or later β’ Available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Arabic and Chinese β’ Light and dark, Dynamic Type and VoiceOver supported β’ Sample data on first run, so you can see it working before typing anything β’ This version has no notifications, no shift scheduling, no cloud sync, no CSV import and no receipt scanning
