Farside is a space sandbox MMO with real-time ship combat, detailed fitting options and an economy that connects mining, salvaging, exploration, manufacturing and trade. Play solo or with others in a shared galaxy. COMBAT Control your ship’s movement, avoid telegraphed attacks and time your active modules. Range, positioning and tracking affect how well your weapons hit. Smaller ships can evade larger guns, while heavier hulls offer more durability and fitting capacity. Fight NPC crews, take on captains or engage other players. SHIPS AND FITTING Combine weapons, defenses, propulsion and utility modules to build a ship for the job. Every fitting has tradeoffs in space, power consumption and performance. Develop your pilot’s specializations and keep different ships for combat, gathering or hauling. INDUSTRY AND TRADE Mine asteroids, salvage wrecks and recover exploration materials. Use them to manufacture ships and equipment, or sell them through station markets. Move goods between stations, place buy and sell orders and build your own production operation. EXPLORATION Scan for hidden sites and hack caches to recover materials and lore. Temporary wormholes lead to uncharted pockets with combat encounters, resources and environmental hazards. Connections have limited lifetimes and can collapse as ships pass through them. PVP AND SECURITY The Core, Marches and Deep have different rules for aggression and losses. Start in safer space, try privateer combat in the Marches or risk your ship and cargo in the Deep. Corporation wars can expose you to combat and full losses even in otherwise protected regions. FLEETS, CORPORATIONS AND FACTION WARFARE Group up for expeditions and combat, or join a corporation to work toward shared upgrades. Enlist with a faction to contest systems, capture control sites and contribute to an ongoing territorial campaign. Farside is built by a solo developer.

Fly over real-world terrain, with detailed buildings and trees completing the view. EXTREMELY REALISTIC FLIGHT MODEL Fine-tuned by real pilots, with close attention to the small details. Ground effect, P-factor, propeller torque and propwash all affect how the aircraft handles. Gusts, thermals and the terrain below shape the air you fly through. FULLY CLICKABLE COCKPIT Take your place in a fully clickable cockpit. Reach for the switches, set the mixture and turn the ignition. From a cold and dark start to shutdown, you operate the aircraft yourself. SIMULATED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS Bring the engine to life and watch the instruments respond. MAKE EACH FLIGHT YOUR OWN Choose the wind, clouds and time of day. Enjoy a quiet scenic flight or test your precision on a demanding approach. Start from the apron or go straight to final approach.
