OnScore is a music stand for musicians: import your scores, mark them up, order them into setlists, and perform straight through. Metronome, tuner, tempo trainer and recorder are built in. Bring your music in as PDF or MusicXML, photograph paper with the camera, or search free public domain scores. Then read it, mark it up, practise it and perform from it, all in one place. READING Page turns that keep up with you. Tap the edge of the page, swipe, or use a Bluetooth pedal. Choose the layout that suits the music: single page, two page spread, half page so there is no gap at the turn, continuous scroll, or reflow, which re-engraves a structured score to fit your screen. HANDS FREE Turn pages with a glance. Wink, turn your head, nod, raise an eyebrow or open your mouth. You choose the gesture and how sensitive it is. The camera work happens on your device and nothing leaves it. MARKING UP Fingerings, bowings, dynamics, cues and reminders, written with the Apple Pencil or your finger. A full set of musical stamps drawn in professional notation, plus text, highlights and shapes. Keep your marks on separate layers, so a teacher's notes and your own can be shown or hidden independently. Originals are never altered. SETLISTS AND PERFORMANCE Put pieces in the order you will play them, with markers for sections, intermissions or a note to yourself. Performance Mode clears the screen, keeps it awake, and preloads pages so turns never stutter. PRACTICE A metronome with tap tempo, count in and subdivisions. A chromatic tuner with adjustable reference pitch and transposition for wind and brass players. A tempo trainer that raises the tempo stage by stage. A recorder for takes you want to hear back. Your sessions and streak are kept so you can see the work adding up. WRITING AND EDITING Edit structured scores note by note: pitches, accidentals, dynamics, lyrics, whole staves. Write by hand on blank manuscript paper in the layout you choose. Export MusicXML, MIDI, a single part, or a PDF with your annotations included. PLAYING TOGETHER Lead a rehearsal over the local network. Everyone follows the same piece, the same page and the same place in the setlist. YOUR LIBRARY Folders, tags, collections, composers, genres and instruments, with search across all of it. Backup and restore when you want to move to a new device. DRAW MUSIC. Turn drawings into music. Every line you draw plays as music: height sets the pitch, colour picks the instrument, and shapes make rhythm. Choose from sounds like grand piano, strings and synths, add layers like tracks, and pick a style from lo-fi to cinematic. Made for every age, with no music knowledge needed. Export a video with your drawing coming to life, and share it anywhere. You can even turn it into sheet music and edit. BUILT FOR IPAD AND IPHONE Designed for the iPad on the stand and the iPhone in your pocket, with the layout adapting to whichever you are holding. Available in multiple languages. No spare hand to turn the page while you're playing? MusicTools turns it for you. KEY FEATURES ■ PDFs, photos and scans Import PDF sheet music, or make a score from photos of its pages or a camera scan, straightened by their corners and put in order. A PDF from another app opens straight in MusicTools. Folders, search and your recent songs keep the library in order. ■ Full-screen reading A song's score fills the screen, the white margins trimmed so the notes come out larger. Tap the sides or swipe to turn the page, or use a Bluetooth page-turn pedal; tap the middle for the controls. On an iPad in landscape two pages sit side by side, every song opens where you left it, and the screen stays on while you read. ■ Setlists Songs in the order you play them, a practice routine or a concert program: turn past the last page and the next song opens. ■ It reads the bars and repeats for you When you import a score, MusicTools finds the bars on every page and reads repeat signs and 1st and 2nd endings, so the playing order is ready. It reads cleanly printed scores best; any line it can't read, you add in the Song Form editor. ■ Auto page turn: hands-free practice After a count-in at the song's own meter and tempo, each page turns the moment its last bar ends, so your hands never leave the instrument. The bar you're playing is marked on the score, filling beat by beat, and the seek bar takes you back to any bar. Or choose Simple: the metronome plays over the score while you turn the pages. ■ Repeats, D.C. and tempo changes as written In the Song Form editor, mark repeat signs, endings, D.C., D.S., Coda and Fine on their bars and the playing order follows. Mark tempo and meter changes, rit. and accel., fermatas and pickups too: the metronome and the page turns follow them all. ■ Write on your sheet music Pen, highlighter, eraser and text, plus one-tap stamps for fingerings, dynamics, accidentals and more, with undo and redo. With an Apple Pencil, the pencil draws and your finger turns pages. Your original PDF stays untouched. ■ Arrange, share and print Reorder, turn, remove or add pages, or split some off as a new song; your notes follow their pages. Share or print the PDF with your notes. ■ Play along Attach an audio file or a recording to a song and play it while you read: slower without changing the pitch, or looped from A to B. ■ Record your practice One tap records your practice. Recording carries on in other apps or with the screen off, and a take cut short by the app closing comes back. Folders, favorites, search and slower playback. ■ Hum to MIDI (experimental) Hum a melody and get its notes as a MIDI file for your DAW or notation app. Works best with one voice, one note at a time. ■ A precise metronome, and a tuner - Quarter, eighth, triplet and 16th clicks, swing and shuffle - Odd meters grouped the way you count them (7/8 as 3+2+2) - Enter the tempo as the score gives it (dotted quarter = 60), or tap it in - Per-beat high, low or silent clicks; click, bell, wood and beep sounds - A tuner beside it: the nearest note and how many cents off, with A anywhere from 415 to 466 Hz ■ Backup Your scores, notes, Song Forms and setlists in one file, to keep safe or restore on a new device. ■ Fully offline, no data collected No account, no internet connection required. Sheet reading and transcription run on your device; the microphone is used only to record and for the tuner, and the camera only to scan a score. Nothing leaves your device unless you share, print or back it up yourself, and there are no ads. WHO IT'S FOR - Wind and string players who don't have a free hand to turn pages - Anyone moving a pile of paper scores onto a tablet - Players with a practice routine or a concert program to keep in order - Anyone drilling a piece at a strict tempo, or recording practice to listen back Best experienced on iPad.
