Locateur

Locateur is a professional positioning toolkit for fieldwork and everyday use. It turns your phone into a pocket surveying instrument: an ink-blue instrument-panel UI, with a dedicated gauge and readout for every module. All data is computed on device and stays on your phone. Live Location: Continuously shows latitude and longitude (switch between decimal degrees and degrees/minutes/seconds), horizontal accuracy, altitude, speed, and heading, with automatic reverse geocoding. The radar instrument view visualizes your current accuracy ring; switch to satellite imagery to see where you are. Capture a single high-precision fix, copy coordinates in one tap, and save the current point to History. Check-in Photo: The viewfinder overlays rule-of-thirds lines and a center crosshair. A single shutter press produces a stamped check-in photo with time, coordinates, and accuracy. Add an optional field tag and notes for site inspections, patrols, and arrival confirmation — verifiable evidence you can review later. Compass: A graduated dial rotates smoothly with device heading, showing bearing degrees and cardinal name, plus magnetometer accuracy hints. Set a target bearing and get live left/right offset guidance to align with your goal. Distance & Area: Place points by tapping satellite imagery, using your current location, or entering latitude/longitude manually. With two or more points, spherical geodesic distance is computed instantly, including per-segment distance and bearing. With three or more points, spherical area and perimeter are calculated. Supports metric/imperial units and Chinese mu conversion. GPS Speed: A live speedometer shows current speed and automatically tracks peak speed, average speed, distance, and duration for the trip. A speed curve visualizes recent changes; archive the trip to History when you finish. History & Dedup: Check-ins, location pins, distance and area measures, and trips are archived automatically. Filter by type, group by date, and reopen check-in photos and map positions in detail. Built-in dedup warns when a new record looks like a duplicate; scan and clear duplicates from History, and see a possible-duplicate badge on the Home screen. Units & Map Styles: Global metric/imperial switch; coordinates in decimal or DMS; satellite imagery or dark road-map styles. Export records as text or clear everything in one tap. Privacy: All location, photo, and record data stays on this device. No uploads, no accounts. Location and camera permissions are requested only when you use the related features. Ideal for field surveys, inspection check-ins, outdoor speed tracking, land area estimates, and any situation where you need portable positioning and measurement.
