LockWords puts a new card under the clock on your Lock Screen, every hour or on whatever schedule you pick: a word worth knowing, a Bible verse, a line from Marcus Aurelius, a strange fact or a riddle. You look at your phone all day anyway, so each look might as well teach you something. CHOOSE WHAT YOU SEE Mix several packs into one widget, or pin a single pack to each widget. Words: Smart Words, SAT and GRE words, rare and beautiful words, idioms and where they come from, Latin phrases, Spanish and French basics, business vocabulary Faith: Bible verses (KJV), verses for anxious days, short daily prayers Mind: affirmations, Stoic quotes, calm reminders, self-love and confidence Growth: discipline and motivation, money wisdom Curiosity: fun facts, space and science, psychology, On This Day Fun: riddles, with the answer showing up halfway through the hour LEARN WITHOUT SITTING DOWN TO STUDY Tap "I know it" on a word and it leaves the rotation. The Home Screen widget has I know it, Save and Next buttons, so you don't have to open the app. A small ring on the Lock Screen shows how much of your word packs you already know. Share the cards you like with friends. Learn a word in the moments you already look at your screen. WidgetWord shows a word and its translation in a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget. Open the app when you want the pronunciation, a fuller explanation, and an example. Choose English, Spanish, or Russian as the language you learn. Supported pairs are English–Spanish and English–Russian in either direction. Pick one of six CEFR levels, A1 through C2, and choose how often the widget requests a new word. The system controls the exact widget refresh time, so a change may arrive later than the interval you select. There is no account, no course to complete, and no streak to protect. Every word, level, and widget is free. If WidgetWord helps you, you can leave an optional one-time tip in Settings. Tips do not unlock features. Your language choices and level can follow you to another device through your Apple Account when iCloud is available. The app has no advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. See the Privacy Policy for details about iCloud, purchases, the website, and support email. WidgetWord is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. Widget availability and presentation vary by platform.
