Next Total

Next Total is a 5×5 training app for growing the total of three lifts: squat, bench press and deadlift. It looks at your total, not one lift at a time, and decides which lift to add weight to next. The app is available in 10 languages and follows your device's language, with weights in kg or lb. It does not promise that you will reach any total. The program follows the long-used 5×5 format and published research. Most features need Plus (paid: monthly, yearly or one-time; the monthly plan has a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers). Without Plus you can go through onboarding, view today's plan, read the Guide and export your records. YOUR TOTAL, AND WHERE TO ADD NEXT • Estimates a 1RM for each lift from your finished sets of 5 and adds them into a total • Pick a milestone (500, 750 or 1000 lb; 200, 300 or 400 kg). See how much is left, split across the lifts most likely to move • Reach a milestone and a short screen loads plates onto the bar as your total crosses the line • A stalled lift waits while the others keep your total moving • Total day (optional): test all three lifts with up to three attempts each and get your real total • Share your total as an image TODAY'S WEIGHTS AND PLATES • Lifts, weights, plates per side and warm-ups on one screen • Squat and bench 5×5, deadlift 1×5, plus barbell rows and the overhead press (not in the total) • Finish every set and the weight goes up next time. Miss the same weight 3 times and it drops 10% to rebuild. Stall twice and the lift moves to a heavy day and a medium day • Rest timer, training around pain, a one-lift option for short days, and coming back after time off • 2, 3 or 4 sessions a week, with a dated schedule GUIDE How 5×5 works, form for the three lifts, fatigue and safety, how strength progresses, and how to run a test day, with summaries of the sources behind each topic. YOUR RECORDS STAY ON YOUR IPHONE No account and no ads. Records are saved only on this iPhone and the app does not send them anywhere. Export them as CSV or JSON at any time, with or without a purchase. WHAT PLUS ADDS • Logging sets and getting your next weights, stall guidance and progression steps (weekly, waves, peaking before an attempt) • Estimated total, the next split, milestones and Total day • Training days, reminders and adding sessions to the iPhone Calendar • History, progress analysis, sessions to go, split presets and what-if numbers • Rest timer (in the app, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island on supported models) and Home Screen widgets • Sharing your total as an image • Monthly, yearly and one-time all unlock the same Plus • First-time subscribers can start the monthly plan with a free trial (length shown on the purchase screen). After the trial, the monthly price is charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You'll get a reminder two days before it ends (if notifications are on) • Monthly and yearly renew automatically at the same price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions • One-time is a single payment with no renewals. It also covers features added later Terms of Use (Apple standard EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://nosunosukawa.github.io/nexttotal-site/privacy.html ------------------------------ Use safety bars or a spotter for the squat and bench press. Stop a deadlift set if your form breaks down. If you have a medical condition, pain or an injury, talk to a doctor before you start. This app does not give medical advice and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any organization or researcher cited in it.

AddPlate is a bench press app built around one idea: pick a program, do what it says, and the weight goes up. Each session it calculates the weight, reps and sets for the day, and after you log your sets it decides the next weight and tells you why. ■ Easy to start ・Answer three questions (experience, goal, days per week) to get a recommendation ・Every program explains who it is for, how it progresses and what to watch out for ・Programs that are too demanding for your experience are not recommended ■ 8 programs ・Linear progression 5×5 (beginner) ・Double progression (beginner) ・GZCLP (staged: when you stall, drop the reps, not the weight) ・Smolov Jr (3-week peak) ・5/3/1 ・Texas Method ・DUP (daily undulating periodization) ・RPE-based (weights follow how you feel) Increments, deload rates and more can be tuned to you. ■ Plate math for your gym ・Register the plates you have (20/15/10/5/2.5/1.25 kg etc.) and your bar weight ・Calculated weights are rounded to what you can actually load ・Plates per side are shown as a picture and as numbers, including warm-up sets ■ Made for the gym floor ・Big weight display, one tap to log a set ・Enter reps only when you fall short ・Rest timer starts automatically, with a countdown in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen ・The screen stays on during a session ・Apple Watch: start the session, log sets and follow the rest timer from your wrist ■ Rules with reasons ・At the end of a session you see whether the next weight changes, and why ・Rules the app added on top of the original program are labeled as such ■ History and planning ・Estimated 1RM chart, plus logged 1RM tests ・Month calendar of done, missed and planned days ・Edit past sessions, add notes, export CSV, back up and restore ・After a long break, a lighter restart is suggested with the reason ■ Privacy No account. Everything stays on your device and nothing is sent anywhere. The weights shown are a guide. Adjust them to how you feel and stop immediately if you feel pain.
