For one second the lights go out, and 1939 comes through. September 15, the last train. The lights in the car go out for a single second, and beyond the window you see an old platform, lit. On the seat beside you lies an old ticket dated 1939. A telegram arrives on your phone: TAKE FIRST TRAIN FROM ASAKUSA TOMORROW. The next morning you ride the first train, 19 stations from Asakusa to Shibuya. Led by telegrams that arrive in the dark of the tunnels and by a child's whisper at your ear, you follow a treasure hunt that was laid out more than eighty years ago. PUZZLES THAT BELONG TO A SUBWAY - One second of darkness: the screen goes dark, and only then a clue can be seen - Mirror writing: read it in a window or a hand mirror - Afterimages: stare at a figure for ten seconds and answer by what stays in your eyes - A whisper at your ear: hold the phone to your ear to hear a quiet sound - Then and now: compare the same station in 1939 and today AT HOME, ON THE TRAIN'S TIME - Home Ride: the stations come one after another at the pace of the real line, from Asakusa to Shibuya. You can skip ahead - Every puzzle can be solved without going there. The app asks for no permissions, such as your location SIDE STORY: EIGHT MONTHS AT THE TICKET WINDOW (one purchase) Eight months of Haru Manabe, ticket clerk at Shimbashi in 1939: how the riddle cards, the name tag, the secret code, the box and the letter came to be. Eight episodes, 17 puzzles. For those who know how the main story ends. PRICE - The prologue and the first four stations (about 60 minutes) are free - The story pass (one purchase) opens the other 15 stations and the finale, removes ads and opens hints at once - The free version shows ads that are not personalized. They never appear in the middle of the story or a puzzle BEFORE YOU PLAY - The screen goes dark for one second at a time. It never flashes - There are dark scenes and quiet voices. Choose Gentle, Normal or Scary. There is no blood and no scene of death - The whole story can be played by captions alone. Brew the pruno. Lift the keys. Walk out at shift change. Pruno Match is a match-3 puzzle game about breaking out of prison one level at a time. Swap soap, sporks, smokes, playing cards and jars of pruno to clear each level's goals, then spend your stars on the next step of the escape plan and watch the breakout come together in your cell. Fourteen prisons, fourteen very different breakouts, 720 levels. In County Jail you bribe the guard with pruno and stroll out the front door. In the State Pen you ride out in a laundry hamper. On Island Max you sew a raft from trash bags and launch at low tide. In Supermax you dig a tunnel with a spork. Then a rodeo getaway on Dustbowl Farm, a faked fever and a hospital transfer at Mercy Ward, a staged riot at Ironwood Pen and a sled run down the mountain from Cold Ridge. After that, an airboat built from a laundry fan through the fog at Gator Bayou, a zipline off the roof over the parade at Downtown Lockup, a mine cart ride through the old tunnels at Red Rock Mine and a hot-air balloon sewn from laundry sheets, floating away over the fireworks at Blackstone Keep. Then you ride out of Copper Line under the false floor of a boxcar and shoot down the log flume out of Pine Hollow, sealed inside a hollow log. • Make rockets, bombs, kites and shanks, then combine them for huge clears • Break bars, locks, crates and handcuffs, beat lockdown timers, fill commissary jars, paint the yard and take on the Warden • Every new obstacle arrives with its own short scene • Bring starting power-ups into tough levels, earned from rewards, stashes and the escape plan • Win in a row for Good Behavior gifts, and open a Mail Call package every day • New live events every week: Lockdown Streak, Contraband Drive, Tunnel Dig, Kite Frenzy, Yard Races and more • Collect Contraband cards and complete the album sets • Join a crew or start your own: send lives, fill the Crew Stash together and take on other crews in the Cell Block Battle • Pick your Yard name and climb the Yard leaderboards • Work through the Yard Pass each season, with a premium track for extra rewards • Shovels, crowbars and tunnels for the tough spots • Levels play offline, no account needed Difficulty comes from the level design alone. Coins and boosters can help you along, and every level is built to be beaten with skill. Brew. Match. Break out.
